Grind doing the Moogle Trial :3
Grind doing the Moogle Trial :3
They DID IT! <3
This. For the most part I'm just going about my daily routine. I also have stuff I'm doing with friends. One of them is also on nexus, so we hit up 5-10 HM at a clip when they're in bonus. Some of my friends are grinding atma (I am too, but I'm 10/12 atm); we alternate between me going on a class with zenith and getting an atma I need and me going on my paladin to help them get atma they need while I earn light. Daily roulettes, second coil clears, farming first coil turns, farming EX primals, it all adds up. I'm at 60%, probably close to 70% by now. :3
Upgrade your weapon utilizing the power of interpretive grinding.
Slot emotes to an ability bar and everytime you use a regular ability in combat, follow it up with an emote that symbolizes how you currently feel, but you have to be truly honest with yourself when selecting what emote to use. That should make things more interesting, for better or worse.
Seriously though, just pace yourself and mix up what content you do to get light.
Two words: Audiobooks and Netflix
When you've spammed the same primal fight 73 times in the last week, chances are you've got it down so well you could do it in your sleep, so do something else while you're fighting. I alternated listening to audiobooks on my iPod to catch up on "reading" a few new books in series' I'm following, and watching TV series I missed on netflix.
I got my nexus mostly by PvPing. It's slower than grinding primals but much more fun IMO.
Step 1: Mash head into desk repeatedly for thirty minutes.
Step 2: Drink half a pint of whiskey.
Step 3: Mash head into desk for a further thirty minutes.
Step 4: Assuming you're still conscious, play the game. Everything will seem infinitely more entertaining than what you've done for the last hour.
I can't possibly know why someone would prefer a quest where you need to spam hundreds of fates while brutally being at the mercy of the RNG over a quest that rewards you for playing any single piece of content of this game.
Atma = killing level 3 flans for the next 30-60 hours.
Nexus = play FFXIV.
On the first one you are forced to put up with the most dumb and boring thing I've ever witnessed in my entire life. On the second one you play the game without the necessity to rush anything, trials, raids, maps, dungeons, fates, anything counts. If all that still happens to bore you maybe the problem isn't the Nexus quest but the fact you don't enjoy FFXIV as much as you think you do.
Dual-monitor and YouTube/Netflix. That's how I finished mine.
I did Garuda HM last night with my FC for nearly 2 hrs while in Mumble. Definitely makes the grind much more entertaining. There was one fight where I couldn't even tell which way Garuda was facing anymore because I was laughing so hard there were tears in my eyes.
Honestly, the primal fights aren't so bad to me. They melt so fast I barely notice how many I've done. Two words: Audiobooks and Netflix

Plus, shiny things to desynth.
