How to make Nexus grinding entertaining?

Seriously, I'm asking. I kinda miss Atma. I don't know why I found that more enjoyable.

I know people already have Nexus, and there's people who can mindlessly grind.. but usually after about 10 Garuda HM's.. I'm burnt out on repetitive stuff.

I've done some consecutive fates... which is slightly more entertaining... but when I think that it takes 200 fates to get 1/10th of the way there it almost seems futile.

So.. anyone doing anything fun to get it done? cause I'm 3/10ths in and aside from just letting it happen on it's own, it's kinda zapped my will to play and makes me reluctant to ever play any other job :P

I would think that Nexus would make you more motivated to play if I'm thinking along the right lines of obtaining the weapon. I've seen people mixing it up through out all the primal battles from Garuda-Levi and Titan EX so there is def some mix up there, also the rare chance a mount/mirror drops too kind of adds to the incentive. Although I'm still grinding my Novus (37/75) I actually look forward to grinding for Nexus as well as I find myself queing for pretty much everything aside from the 1-4 Coil every day I jsut run through the menu and click the max and que up. rinse- and repeat its fun because its like a roulette and I never get the same que twice In a row. Not sure if that helped or not lol

Just do it naturally... there is no rush and a Novus will get you through all current content as it is.

Don't force yourself too much, if you push too hard you'll probably just burn yourself out instead. Frankly, the 5 iLvl improvement isn't necessary in just about anything in the game (except maybe Savage Coil), and it requires generally at least a whole 24 hours of straight grinding if you're operating at maximum efficiency (most ideal situation is around 20 hours and 50 minutes if you do approximately 2 minute Garuda HM runs all in bright window, excluding exit/re-queue times; otherwise 33 hours and 20 minutes of Cape Westwind over and over and over again assuming kill, exit, re-queue in a minute). I don't think the devs expect most people to get Nexus before 2.4 at any rate, so just take your time if you don't think you can handle grinding out hours of it at a time.

Personally, I did about 70% of my Nexus in about a week by going full on at it for hours of the day (that 8 hours of Garuda on one day helped that a lot), but I don't really recommend following that path. At the very least make sure you have your relic equipped for whatever you queue up in, every bit counts.

farming mog or titan with bonus is a good way to make some money beside and made nexus farming really enjoyfull

I made millions just by increasing my alc desynth and selling primal demis (which go for 200-250k ea on our server)

If you have desynthesis leveled you can make a bit of cash out of the grind - although it's hardly anywhere near as profitable now as it was near the beginning of the grind. On Behemoth, Inferno and Vortex Demimaterias are very close to becoming somewhat expensive vendor trash, but Crag and Demimog are still selling for at least somewhat decently.

I ran my roulette's and PF'd about 20 HM runs per day. Threw a few ST's in there and BAM, was done in 3 weeks.

Unlike atma or any other step, you can work towards your Nexus without really focusing on it, by just playing the game, only grind when you feel like it, but don't force yourself.

I had got another novus that I wanted to sink time into nexus instead. Barely hit stage one and plan to get nexus on this 3 day weekend XD

My other novus though... might be a while lol

i almost did it in 1 week, but got burnt out too so i kind of dragged it out another 2 weeks.
FC TS helped a lot, there's a bunch of really fun ppl.
but you know, just do it now and then, when there's some fight on bonus, and just do it as long as you feel like it.
