Just a quick question. Does anyone know how much Gil I can take with me when I transfer to another server?

1.000.000 Gil on your character and additional 100.000 on each retainer.

You can also buy out items worth as much to vendors to transfer more gold, such as the Allagan Pieces (silver, gold, platinum, etc.). Depending on your server you may lose some initial money though just buying them from the market place. You could also ask your friends to sell any pieces they have to you as well, assuming you are over the 1 million gil cap + 100K gil cap on retainers.

You might also check the new server to see what sells easily and expensively there and buy those items, ex materia.
