*Sigh*, if only this chart had any real relevance. It may be part of the lore - but in this game, ALL damage is non-elemental damage. ;_;
Skogs Fru Extreme mode go!!!
Lets be real here guys. People are pissed because it didnt come into the game as a Motorcycle mount but as a dungeon boss
>DDDDD
srry for all you who wanted to ride it like cloud did.

The Main story has many references to element aspect of crystals. Vast amount of Crystal are needed to summon primals. Of What element of crystal, would the beast tribe that worship Fenrir use for the summoning?

Just cause Fenrir was an Elder Primal in XI, does not mean he has had that title in every FF game. Heck even Bahamut wasnt originally an Elder Primal, more like a Lord of Dragons.
With each FF game, summons and primals etc has been altered and different.
At least they didnt make Primals turn into motorcycle or something like in FF 13![]()

The elitism was simply in other places. Rather than bench because your class did not have the eHP/DPS/HPS required for raids, people would laugh at you for playing the "wrong" job....in leveling content. Not endgame content where some elitism is justified, but the journey everyone thinks is the point of the game.
With that came gear elitism, also rampant during leveling content; you needed gear with relatively obscene stats to overcome level correction between the mobs everyone chose to overhunt and you. If you did not have random overpriced gear or even more expensive HQ versions, you were "bad" at your job, as most parties expected you to stop leveling to farm beehive chips (or simply put the RMT cigar in your mouth) to keep up.
Jobisms are the worst I've seen in any MMORPG that was not Lineage II. Want to be a beastmaster? Hope you enjoy being seen as a leper because everyone thought your presence placed an exp penalty on the party; something the devs did close to nothing to correct. Want to be a puppetmaster? Have fun being the leper v2 since your job's performance teeters between terrible and somewhere below passable sans exploits that it's pretty clear why it started out as a loljob.
THFs were also screwed after lv60 because heavy hitting jobs (DRK in particular) could do hate transfer better than a THF could. Not getting into the PLD vs NIN thing, much less the myriad of problems RDM and SMN had.
-----------------------
In closing, most of the elitism was spread around. At most you dealt with just endgame elitism in other games, whereas FFXI had it all over the place. What makes it bearable in a game like WoW is that the game is designed to alleviate annoyances caused by elitirms, and even I can see they had to compromise some of the class designs to lessen the occurrence of stupid things like people getting "sunwelled". XI never made much of an effort; not under Tanaka and much less under Mr. CoP.
* The sad thing is that FFXIV turned RDM into a turret, and people think that's what it's supposed to be. It's supposed to combine sword and magic into something more, not spend the bulk of gameplay spamming spells and jump into melee for only 3 GCDs before scurrying back to the back line like good little casters.
* Design ideas:
Red Mage - COMPLETE (https://tinyurl.com/y6tsbnjh), Chemist - Second Pass (https://tinyurl.com/ssuog88), Thief - First Pass (https://tinyurl.com/vdjpkoa), Rune Fencer - First Pass (https://tinyurl.com/y3fomdp2)
But there's two versions of Odin in FFXIV (Primal, XIII), it can still happen.
Don't you say I can't ride a Fenrir motorcycle. >_>

Never seen this - I have however seen people laugh at you if you didn't know how to play. You know, like when Puppetmaster's had Automatons with no attachments whatsoever?
You mean the elitism where people weren't taking you if you were in Scale mail gear (Level 10 gear) when you hit Garliage (level 30ish area)? Yeah that existed. Or the Elitism where if you were tryin to rock NQ gear and had abysmal accuracy but wanted to fight gods like Byakko? Otherwise the only "required gear" were basic easy to obtain gear, you almost never needed to get Ground King gear unless you absolutely wanted to feel special, there were more alternates, all Ground King Gear did was allow you not to do stuff like Nyzul.With that came gear elitism, also rampant during leveling content
Nope, THFs were only screwed early on because they couldn't do much of anything since Daggers were low damage. You should have specified that when ToAU came out was when people started changing the formats, because "TP Burns" were designed by SE to counter the "Manaburns" people setup during Vanilla and CoP.THFs were also screwed after lv60
Much like the overuse of this word when it's not relevantIn closing, most of the elitism was spread aroundI'm sure in XIV if you show up in Darklight to T9 people will say something and I guarantee you'd probably call them elitist.

so....one day later and we are still doing this. Look folks let's establish the lines in the sand here. 1) We are FFXIV, not FFXI. The earth has been blown up (literally) and we have to accept that this is new FF Game, New Lore, New Settings. Fenrir CAN'T be a "big deal" every time he pops up. As far as I'm concerned that dog had his day in FFXI (see what I did there). 2) We are at the tip of the iceberg. It was posted earlier that it's possible that we could see Fenrir, Diabolos, and possibly more with bigger roles in the future. FFXIV is a big world out there folks and we just scratching it's surface. So give the Dev's time to work out a good story for us. 3) Don't leave for the Wow expansion. Nothing further needs said here.
