Don't really see any lies. However it does seem like if you attend the event or watch the stream that there should be different items. Ones who attend get this, and ones who watch get this. But also on that note then there are the ones who wouldn't be able to attend the event weather it be financial or location reasons that may then have a beef with the items also.

It probably should have been announced early on. If people just bought tickets and are just going for the in game items then I could see why they may be upset. But also on that note those people are probably ones that live locally. Even a 10 hour car trip is local to me. If not so what, you're going to Vegas, its hard to not have a good time while there. There is alot to do there, gambling aside there is so much more than that.

I guess its just it is what it is, go have a great time enjoy yourself meet some new people have some laughs. Get back home safe and enjoy your new items. Be greatful that you are able to attend, I'm sure that there are many who would love to be in your shoes that cannot make it.

Again: no, they never said it was exclusive, nor there wouldn't be any other way to obtain it.
It was also not even implied, even if the text is written in a way to 'hook you in'.

They just said "People who come to the festival will get a code for an in-game costume". That's it. Any other interpretation is wrong. There is nothing more to that sentense. No "exclusive" or "only" anywhere.
People (like OP) assumed it would be exclusive. But this assumption was false, and it's not SE fault.

It's not because I say "you can enter in this room by using this door", that there is no other door leading to that room.

Now they didnt DIRECTLY say it, but if its not obtainable anywhere else. that makes it exclusive to said event.

So OP isnt just the only person doing so, its ALOT of people, this is why its such a big picture for people attending said event. if anything though youre right which i understand, but its more about the money picture if anything, considering a ticket to the LA event is $120, London is £65. we get the item in game, now how is it "fair" so to speak that people who are gonna pay ALOT less by the sounds of this that they get an item that we pay for too.

You're paying for the event where you get to meet both the people who made this game and other fans. You'll have the opportunity to see and get things few others will ever have the chance to.

The suit is a small thank you from the company for choosing to support them for however many months,as well as financially. People buying the premium livestream have been playing just as long, and will also be supporting them financially. Please actually use that noggin to not be bitter for a few seconds.

The people at home will not get to experience the Fan Festival in person. They will not be able to meet, chat and have fun with other interesting players. They won't get to feel the atmosphere at the event and they will probably miss a whole lot of small things and details for not being there. Watching a tourist destination on the TV is not quite the same as taking the trip.

THAT is the privilege of attendees that are able to actually go to the Fan Festival. Seriously.... what the hell with the ingame items already!? I can't even make it to London due to my schedule. Would LOVE TO go, even if I got nothing tangible (or virtually tangible). Sheesh!

The main issue I see is people are looking at this all wrong. You aren't paying for the item(s), you're paying for the event and the experience. They just also happen to be handing out swag to people who show up in person, including the code (which is why you need to be there in person) for an in-game item. Now people can get the same item by watching a stream, but watching a stream and being at the event in person are completely different experiences. Not to mention the other cool shit attendees will get that the folks at home will miss out on.

If you spend 120 bucks plus expenses specifically for one useless in-game item and that item becoming less exclusive than you initially assumed turns your entire world upside down... well I really don't know what to tell you.

Im just finding it hard to say what im trying to say without it sounding like that lol.

like i said its not an issue with people getting the attire for me, its the issue i have is how much are they going to throw what was once known the only way to get said attire, to the premium livestreams, will the livestreams be limited in number, how much will they be and so forth.

i personally think knowing this information would solve alot of what is going on within this thread, because for all we know is that the livestream is giving it away, thats it. we dont know anything except for the livestream providing it. im surprise SE hasnt spoke up yet.

This thread is hilarious. You're upset that more people are going to get access to an item? Why? Because you want to be elitist by having what you want to be a rare item? Grow up.

The real reward for attending the fan fest was never an in-game item. It's getting to meet the producers of the game, trying out that Odin trial, meeting fellow fans, having a good time, getting to say "I was there". The digital reward is a little thank you. If that is the reason you are attending then you don't deserve your ticket.
