So if someone buys a ticket to the fest and cant make it you think its ok for them to not get a moogle attire item? However, someone else can buy the livestream, not watch it, and go right on laughing at the other guy.

Scalpers, fool. If you buy a ticket, get a code for an in-game item for those specifically going to the fest, and you sell the ticket to someone else who expects the reward and is screwed out of it, well, there you go.

Physical attendees will receive the costume. But it as never said that only physical attendees would get it.
Now, premium "Livestream attendees" are also eligible. But it's absolutly not in contradiction with what they said.

i get what youre saying, and like i said in another thread related to this i dont honestly care too much about this but its more of the factor this was seen as an item only obtainable through attending said event, you're all looking at this from a perspective of NOW rather than BEFORE which is what the issue is being, we were pretty much told indirectly that this item would be for those who ATTEND the fan festival, now its obtainable by watching said events which they've done recently just to rake in a few extra pennies which business at the end of the day, is business..

but im more annoyed at the factor is of how this item which was a selling point for most people to attend (not just for the item, but it would help undecisive people to pick going due to the physical giveaways and contests aswell as an item to show off in game as "look at me i went to the Fan Festival") which is what most people would use this attire for.

Its just the fact of this being known as "exclusive" which is was. until now. before this was announced we had no knowledge of ANY OTHER WAY to obtain this attire. and now its going to be obtainable via a livestream option which a few of us attending don't really feel is right.

Like i said in another thread though, if it was another item that lets say attendees didnt get such as a sylph costume, or so forth, it would have went down better than this has.

If the livestream is the same price as a ticket (or SLIGHTLY reduced) then it would only really be fair, if its considerably cheaper, then its just a kick to those attending the event. especially since now if you bought tickets and cant attend it for whatever reason, you dont get the attire.)

Now they didnt DIRECTLY say it, but if its not obtainable anywhere else. that makes it exclusive to said event.

So OP isnt just the only person doing so, its ALOT of people, this is why its such a big picture for people attending said event. if anything though youre right which i understand, but its more about the money picture if anything, considering a ticket to the LA event is $120, London is £65. we get the item in game, now how is it "fair" so to speak that people who are gonna pay ALOT less by the sounds of this that they get an item that we pay for too.

Ya know, I really think its sad that people are getting so blatantly pissed off about this. SE tries to do something nice for the benefit of all and all you guys can think about is how "entitled" you should be, by having a specific exclusive item given to you for attending a festival that will probably have a lot of other benefits, perks and items that will be specifically exclusive to you....

Meanwhile the folks who pay for the stream will get to sit at home watching all the fun you are having ....

Hm I agree that a company such as SE lying to their customers is just poor form. But I cannot really find a lie in their statements.

They said that if you don't come to the event, then you aren't getting the special gift which is a redeemable code that can get you an in-game item. Is this not true?
