I just returned to the game 2 weeks ago (never played much, former and still current FFXI player), but it seems that former FFXI players seem to play this game with the expectaion of it being FFXI 2.0. This should not be the case, its a totally different game, that just uses essential Final Fantasy material that come from throughout FF1-FFXIII.
This is NOT FFXI its FFXIV, different mechanics, different lore, different world/land. People need to adjust their expectations and be open minded.

Yeah, well welcome back. Instead of complaining about how Demon Wall is hard in your Darklight, we now complain about how everything here isn't a 15 year grind, and how the grass doesn't blow like it does in XI. Oh, and something something Blue Mage COULD WORK LIKE IN XI...again.
