Back in my day (1.0) we got one shotted by mobs. Heavy isn't a problem.

This happens to me as well, and it drives me crazy. These monsters aren't hard, nor pose any threat, but it's just a pure annoyance when you're trying to get somewhere fast.

+1 to you Starvald... the Heavy spell (and the ridiculous amount of mobs in proximity to each other) in East Shroud remains the single reason why I hate that place so damn much.
Hands down my most hated place in the game... and the reason I haven't finished my beastmen daillies till date.
"After ten years, finally headed to Sharlayan... absolutely stoked"

Lmao, that's clever. +1Because I’m heavy
Clap along, if you feel like going through the roof
Because I’m heavy
Clap along, if you feel like slowness is the truth
Because I’m heavy
Clap along, if you know what mounted agro is to you
Because I’m heavy
Clap along, if you feel like strangle a puppy is what you wanna do

Today, I went in a place, I aggroed only 6 monsters and... I got heavy 5 times (no fake), everything seems normal here ?
Just spent 2min (if i didn't had dispel) with heavy, in 3min of playing.

As a healing main, I've learned that through areas like that, I won't even use my chocobo. I'll sprint and run through most, and if I get heavy'd, use esuna or leeches. It's not as fast as a chocobo, but it beats slow birds if you get hit. Of course that's for healers

I wish these mobs could actually kill you, instead it is just an annoyance. If the mobs were at least dangerous for most of us, the heavy skill would at least seem to have a purpose.

Heavy used to be called Lame I believe in the 1.0 era, because it was the effect of your mount getting injured. What I wanna know is why I get agro by mobs 10 levels lower than me, when as a player anything more than 5 levels higher will most likely murder you solo (pre-50.) Mobs should have some awareness of your ilevel to know "Hey that adventurer is 100-110! I shouldn't try to poke him with my spear for 6 damage!"
Wasn't there a resist mechanic in FFXI for enfeebles?
