At the end of a patch cycle it's only natural that people are getting a bit bored, but info on what's to come, motivates people, and SE has been serverely lacking in that area for a good while now. Just look at the Lodestone. It's filled with info about the fanfests, contests, merchandise and all kinds of things not directly related to the game.

It doesn't help that they're (seemingly) witholding info because of the fanfests, either.
And now that it looks like they're about a month behind on 2.4 ( compared to the other patches) I doubt I'll be logging on much this month.

I don't know about you but I know whats all coming for 2.4 and I can't wait for it.

And now that it looks like they're about a month behind on 2.4 ( compared to the other patches) I doubt I'll be logging on much this month.

Considering how much is being added in 2.4 and how much stuff was tacked on in 2.38, to make downloading 2.4 smoother, they can take another month if needed. I don't want a D3 situation on a big day.

End of October early November would be a week behind normal schedule. I don't see much of a delay there

It should be 3 month (90 days ) between each major patch, it's not a week behind normal schedule it's 1 week between normal late schedule ^^.
