So CUL (surprise surprise) and LWR are entirely optional for Master Crafting?

Correct, they are both totally optional.

I personally think WN2 is the most useless lvl50 skill we get and would never waste a cross-class skill slot on it, as things stand currently.

Reclaim has it's uses but it's very risky and limited.
