So i got every crafting class to 16

Okay I decided to become a master crafter or sort (mainly because of the massive gil they can make, also furniture) and I have gotten the classes to at least 16, with CUL around 26, WVR almost at 25, and GSM and LWR nearing 20.

Basiclay I gotten all the level 15 crossclass abilites and I;m wondering:

    • What crossclass abilities are the best for HQ items (besides Hasty Touch and maybe Tricks of the Trade)?
    • And how to progress at a point where you need to gather or buy on MB to make items at your level, (Note that I;m also doing the Ixal quests but I'm focusing the experience on CUL until I can get Steady Hand II)

    Crp 50 for byregots blessing.
WVR 50 for careful synthesis II
    GSM 50 for innovation
    ALC 50 for comfort zone
.....think that about covers 2 star 100% HQ, if u got all the crafters at 15 that is.

If you wanna do 3 star I'd just recommend getting them all to 50. You won't need them all at 50 for furniture however, since no HQing those. Recomending lvl 50 ARM for piece by piece and lvl 50 bsm for ingenuity II if you wanna go down the furniture only route.

So CUL (surprise surprise) and LWR are entirely optional for Master Crafting?

Anyway I stil plan on maxing the classes, but this should help set a priority list further down the line

    actually... no xD
LTW at 50 has Waste Not II, and it's very useful
as for Culinarian, at lv 37 you get Steady Hands II ( that is a must have for master crafting) and, at lv 50, Reclaim ( while this is not a must-have cross class, it can still be useful if you see that you are going to botch the syntesis xD)

Wonder if Reclaim is active all the time or only for a specific amount of steps? (Tooltip doesn't specify)
Also, can it be used as Disconnect protection for highly valuable crafts?

You technically can, unless that 10% rears its ugly head (it only boosts reclaim chance to 90%). And the 50 cp cost is still pretty hefty, esp when it comes to HQing star crafting. Though I'd imagine CP is not as important when it comes to crafting 3* furniture or glamour items (like the primal demimaterias).

Correct, they are both totally optional.

I personally think WN2 is the most useless lvl50 skill we get and would never waste a cross-class skill slot on it, as things stand currently.

Reclaim has it's uses but it's very risky and limited.

    CUL 50 is optional.

CUL 37 is not. Steady Hands II is very important.

As they were talking about the lvl50 skills, I thought it was a given, but you are right.
