I think whoever said you should be in charge of this game is taking back that statement now.

Not really an option in the 45 instanced dungeons at least if you want to get done in the time allowed. MP management has always been something that people did not notice, however now mages and parties in general need to be aware of the new MP cost. My problem is the curega/II I would think it better and more AP friendly if they just made AoE cost more then adding new spells. I think it makes a happy medium and does not really nerf the mage classes so much that way along with allowing the mage class to not be pigeon holed into a job they don't really want to perform in a party. We have all played the tank/dd/healer setup is to much to ask that everyone be able to fill that roll depending on the type of monster you encounter?

Neptune has the right idea and I support him.
I play Conjurer for the ELEMENTAL MAGIC. Something most people seem to forget that Conjurers have. I will not heal you, heal yourself.
All the people putting us down because we don't like the changes are the same people that will be saying they don't like the changes in some other patch. Always happens.
We're giving the Dev Team our feedback and until we have confirmation of these changes everyone says "wait and see" about, we will continue to give our feedback.

You have not experienced the full gamut of the Conjurer at R35. Yes it has access to elemental spells, but that is not what it is effective at. Additionally most of those spells will probably see some form of adjustment in the future. Then again my guess is you prefer solo play. Right?

I don't think this is a valid reason. From almost the beginning, we all knew there would be radical changes. Investing a lot and expecting it to remain the same was blind faith. In fact, I can't think of a single MMO that I have played where class roles have not changed later in the game due to a released patch.

Anyway, I like the changes. They are more back to the spirit of FFXI and less like WOW. This change starts to bring job definition instead of the idea of "grab a bunch of bodies and let's just go zerg the enemy". In the old FFXI days, you actually had to plan your group and coordinate your battles. FFXIV pre-1.18 got rid of this and thus the game was quite bland. 1.18 adds a bit of spice into the game and I am looking forward to the next patches which continue along this line.

Yep. Got a problem with that? I LOVE solo. I'm casual. Throw me to the wolves! Oh nooo! There's different types of gamers out there. How dare they enjoy games! Games are not meant for everyone! Kill them all! You people are all the same. Prejudice pieces of ****.

yeah, god forbid a mage would want to solo something or not be a healer (or even worse, just plain useless a la THM 2.0)

You are correct. I believe the "Bind" effect was somewhere around 30 seconds before 1.18, after I am unsure of any change. And it was one of the first things I notice was MP management identical to XI's. I pointed out in another thread initial reasons for the current MP costs on certain spells, and although I found myself loss of MP, I soon picked back up what I had learned from XI about Healing management.

Unfortunately, CON is flawed by nature due to it's Burn and/or Healing resume. Opposites shouldn't be together like CON. But from a foresight, CON(akin to SCH) as a class provides greater understanding and acceptance for Jobs. This is wher my theory that the Jobs BLM and WHM will be linked to the same class, being CON.

My brain is fried sry if I made little sense.
