DB can push you into the wall.
And I agree with making the one shot mechanics more of a huge damage dealt mechanic after the content is stale.
I'm very curious how they will make t7 more accessible.
Man. If everyone who wants this implemented put more practice into coil than typing up essays on why it should be handed to them on a silver platter, they may have actually beat it by now.
Not trolling.
The Truth.
SE considered the Darnus fight "End-Game Content", as is coil. You can't force people to raid who don't want to raid. "Get good" isn't an answer. No matter what gets locked behind raids the people that don't want to do it, won't. The story in coil is essentially the ending to 1.0. Allowing players a chance to see this in game without any other rewards only has an upside. Your idea to force people into raiding doesn't work. Those players will just quit. Meaning SE makes less money.
No-one is forcing you to raid, that's your choice.
As are the alternative choices of finding alternative ways to view the story.
You're going to be waiting a very very very long time for a story version of the fight.
If players quit because "I didn't get to play every part of the game, because I don't have the time", is a terrible excuse.
You simply cannot expect that you'll have access to every part of an MMO if you simply don't have the time to do it, it's the same with every MMO across the board.

While true some people won't ever commit to learning higher tier raids. I've carried dozens of in game friends through t5 just to help them get the clear. I'm sure they would have rather just completed a toned down version on their own. They will never raid and have no aspirations to do so but they did want to see the story.
Once content is a year old like coil one why not put it on a platter?

People who complain about not being able to clear T5 just seem to be players who are too lazy to go in, learn the fight and get the clear.
give me 7 people who can reliably learn and progress and available at my random (and when I say random, it really is random) play hours 100% of the time and maybe I can do that. Maybe. Sadly it's not possible. Learning PF take more time to fill than I have to play. Unlike the forums, I can't get into the game whenever I'd like to, and I sure don't want to be forced to do it for static reason. Yet, the only static I ever met who didn't care at all about regular events and just did things when people were on disbanded right when we killed T5.
Statics now always ask for at least 2 days of commitment. I don't have that, nor have I the will to force myself to do it.
right, cause you are the one to decide that
Add savage mode. Remove loot from normal modes. Nerf normal modes.
That solves:
1. People being handed loot that elitists ALWAYS whine about.
2. Lets the elitists still show they're better because they worked for their loot.
3. Lets people get the story only, makes casuals not have to care if they don't care for the story.
I hate people who say to watch the CS on Youtube. It's the equivalent of refusing to let a kid read Charles Dickens because you don't believe they can.
Oh look, someone else who's static all cleared t5 within the first 1 or 2 hours practice.
Some really pro players here. *cheer*
Also take 1 or 2 hours to clear T9? Hmm actually T9 is slightly harder than T5 was, so I guess 2 or 3? xD
