    Not trolling.
    The Truth.
give me 7 people who can reliably learn and progress and available at my random (and when I say random, it really is random) play hours 100% of the time and maybe I can do that. Maybe. Sadly it's not possible. Learning PF take more time to fill than I have to play. Unlike the forums, I can't get into the game whenever I'd like to, and I sure don't want to be forced to do it for static reason. Yet, the only static I ever met who didn't care at all about regular events and just did things when people were on disbanded right when we killed T5.

Statics now always ask for at least 2 days of commitment. I don't have that, nor have I the will to force myself to do it.

So you don't have much time to play an MMO, A genre of game known for being a time consuming grind fest.

Sounds to me you're playing the wrong game.

So essentially, because you don't have the time whilst many other do you feel that the developers HAVE to make a story mode to fit your needs?

Turn 5 does not require a static.

People seem to be forgetting this is separate content, just like any MMO.

Name me one MMO that has gone out of their way to ensure that the raid has a 'story-mode' version.

World of Warcraft, which has proven exceedingly popular with all types of players. Raiders get to raid, people with skill but less time get to see the story with LFR, and there is a myriad of systems and game features for every other kind of interest, from pets to (upcoming) housing.

Arguing that story mode perpetuates a dumbing down of the playerbase reveals that, to you, there is only one kind of player, and one type of play, that should be allowed. People with other interests are asking for content that fits their playstyle, with absolutely no effect on the content that already exists for challenge-seekers and gear-hounds.

    This is important.

I've got a lot of people in my FC who are incapable of Turn 5, and there's a variety of reasons. While we've been able to get some through, others have serious lag on effect-heavy fights that makes it really difficult to get the reactions necessary (as an example). I say this as someone who'd genuinely love to be able to have a Static (constantly changing work hours makes that difficult) and who would love to be batting at Savage Coil - I'd have no issue with a 'light' version of Coil where I can actually play with friends and just enjoy the fights regardless. The current incarnations of certain Turns - most notably Turn 7 with its potential to petrify the entire party in a wipe - are ruthless.

That ruthlessness is great, but the more ruthless the more players it excludes, and hell, I love playing with friends.

1st things 1st. People took a glance at that 7% and stopped. You want some REAL #s where that 7% came from on the Playstation achievement page?

    54948 people own the game
33.94% (18648) have warrior of light achievement.
    7.72% (4244) Have cleared t5.

2/3rd of this player sample haven't even beaten praetorium. Let that sink in.

TWO THIRDS OF THE PLAYERS HAVEN'T BEATEN PRAETORIUM.

Your in the top 3rd just for beating story BEFORE levi. Now we're all elitists. So don't wave that 7% around like it's indicitive of squat.

In another way, 22.8% of players who have passed praetorium have beaten t5. Here's the kicker though. Not everyone that beat basic story quest has even attempted coil. We dont have #s on that through this site. The point is that when you talk about the players that have tried coil but can't complete it:

*22.7% of people who passed praetorium have beat t5.
*this is an underestimate of people that have TRIED AT ALL who were successful. A lot of that remaining 77.2% don't care, haven't bothered, don't play etc. Coil requires hm primal kills. Not everyone that completes praetorium has beat primals to access coil. Not everyone that beat primals Has attempted coil. At every step that pool of potential t5 people shrinks. That 7% became 22% after praetorium. It will rise after each checkpoint. The exact amount we cannot say until census, but it is a fact it will rise with more complete info and is currently largely underestimated.

Those are facts. The latter we don't know the degree but it is common sense that not everyone who completed praetorium is chomping at the bit to do coil or give a crap at all, let alone even beat hm primals to access it.

everyday someone else beats coil. Every patch we grow ilvls making coil easier. Every passing day the # of people this suggestion would benefit shrinks from an already drying up pool of relevant players. Bad use of dev time.

ps. Stop saying you need a static to down t5. You need friends. Not statics. You need a static to reliable down currant tier coil, not echo+40 levels over coil.

One of the biggest reasons that LFR is populated right now on World of Warcraft isn't because of the story, but because it's currently one of the best ways to gear up for subsequent difficulties. Tier pieces drop in there and it's essentially a requirement for anyone who wants to move up in raid difficulty to be in full LFR gear. In Warlords of Draenor, LFR is no longer dropping tier pieces, effectively removing it from the progression path that progression raiders would have to take. The effect of this change is yet to be seen.

Also, Garrisons are nothing like traditional housing.
