The next job /class will be

rogue/ninja will use dual dagger, we already know this, then it was normal to identify this one as ninja.
only 2 character (outside the rapier holder) can't be identified, either because the image is cut or because we don't see the weapon. the lalafell female and the miqote male. even if i think that the lalafell female on the part hidden hold the staff of the white mage. but without proof i will still see it as unidentified.

i know every sword of the game (at least have seen all) none is like this. it's clearly a rapier in the form too, the handle and the edge are clearly the one of the rapier. anyway the point it's, this weapon is not in the game, why put this on the cover of an artbook showing us the weapon of different jobs ingame.

ps: i will rephrase this, this type of weapon is not even announced! why use it for a cover of artbook on FF14:ARR... better like this.
i'm not here saying it will be the next class, only pointing this cover as sources of information weird that don't go with the actual world or any information we did receive about the next class added.

Rogue / ninja aren't in the game yet, so their weapons cannot exist. You are proving my point :P

I remember during the Alpha\Beta at some point a poster was dropped (before ANY mention of Arcanist) and on that poster, snuck in, was one character with a book. The community went into a frenzy and I could see Yoshi-P sitting behind his monitor doing this:
