seems like a great patch, and props to se if the new primal focus quest requires all current primals, as it would rectify problems older primals have with redundancy.

that's no different than new ppl starting to play now. they would have to start relics the same way.we often keep gear for multi class, and anyway, it's mustn't be that bad to know this... or do they plan to make all the person that decide to switch of main spend 2 month for catch back the other class?
another point that bother me greatly, the relic quest... indeed you have some part you can prepare before hand, like atma and novus, but some part will be quite long for catch. and on the long terms, the new class/jobs added at the 3.0, will have the go throught the whole process for get them relic to the same step than the other class, i don't even want to imagine the pain in the ass if they don't think a bit more before add more long phase of upgrade.
and every relic you want to start, is the same way.
and...you can easily get ilv100 wep at least, with sol.
and you can get new tome gear, at same pace as every else, so it's not like you're gonna fall behind.
and it's not like relic is any good anyway. it took almost 6months for relic to become as good as coil weps, so you'll have 6months to make relic useful, in 2.4x
and why would new classes/jobs need to automatically catch up to everyone else?
Stop saying DEX is only for ranged attacks... The client says that because Archer/Bard is the only Class/Job that uses DEX, so saying it affects anything than Ranged attacks, would make no sense.since DEX is only for ranged attack it make no sense at all...
stats was already definite at the release... try to make different will only lead to weird stuff like the monk in the V1 (monk was str/int based) since rog/nin are melee class the logical choice is STR, by the way the monk in it definition it's too an agile class, since it's based on speed and accurate attack, but it's still STR.

They could just change that info and make Ninja DEX based. Definition of Dexterity: Skill and grace in physical movement, especially in the use of the hands;
Punching your targets with fist weapons require raw power(Strength, MNK), using daggers in the graceful way that Ninjas do, should require dexterity.
I don't understand how this would lead to weird stuff like in V1... There shouldn't be any mixed main stats on chars, and Ninja using DEX wouldn't change the other jobs in the game in any way.
Either way I don't really give a sh't... Who cares what they will use? They will probably not share any armor with other jobs anyways, and it wouldn't make a difference if it says Strength or Dexterity...
maybe for not make this content irrevelant for the person playing this new class, if it take 3-4 month for catch up (if not more if you are unlucky) people will simply ignore this content and directly go with tomes weapon or raid weapon.
the point it's to make the content still an option even for new player. i have a friend that did start to play in jully, he did simply ignore the whole relic quest since he don't want to spend all him gaming time into this for catch up the other.
indeed it's an optional content, but when it become a content that are only for the player that are here since the start you get a trouble on the hand. it's not an optional content it's a veteran only content.
because for you it's must be DEX, they need to change the rule of the game, logical. other point, every dex armor are clearly not oriented ninja/rogue in the looking, i want to see a ninja with the ST armor jumping around with this oversized hat or the long cape.... will be priceless as sights.Stop saying DEX is only for ranged attacks... monk are indeed using raw power, but they are too swift, precise and extremely agile... it's all the definition of agility class or dex class as you some said.
anyway, i doubt they will change the mechanic of the game just for one class... that... well stupid in many way.
Rogue and ninja are both a melee class, then them stats will be STR, if they was a magical class it will be INT, if it was a ranged class it will have been DEX and if it was a healer it will have been MND... and since they are not tank it's will not be VIT too.
so far all we have seen from the ninja/rogue it's a melee class with fancy move that all, the only one ranged attack it's a dagger throws that not different from the ranged attack the war/pld/drg have.

I expected more information about 2.4 at TGS but I got dissapointed. They showned only some teasing videos. It's nice but still no info. From the teasers seems we get Sastasha and Qarn HMs also 1 new dungeon.
There was a slide related to Fantasias, anyone happen to have a clue about what they meant with that?
As I thought. Those that raged when refer a friend gave a shared chocobo mount, jumped to conclusions. All 63 of them. As SE promised, eternal bond will also have it.

You realise the Eternal Bond dual chocobo is a completely separate mount from the Draught Chocobo.
It is white with fancy barding. If you want the original Draught Chocobo you will still need to use a refferal

The Shiva Video was quite boring. Would have loved to see some action there. And Quarn HM will be Pharos Sirius 2.0 like lol. Fleeing tanks, derping DPS, I can see you already!
No shit. Those people were however angry because they though that was the ONLY way to get a shared chocobo. And that there wouldn't be a shared mount for eternal bond. It is totally fine to make different mount skins obtainable through multiple methods. As it has always been for any other game.
Bit of a fail troll attempt here given that no one has ever contested Rogue even being available from char creation. The Rogue's guild has always been there as we are told in 2.2 so there's no issue with having people unlock Rogue before that point in the story.
The issue is Ninja itself as Yugiri says she will teach us personally and that is impossible if you aren't at the correct point in the story. Given that Rogue is gated though I'm quite confident that Ninja will be too.
