Not sure why you're complaining then. If it's not a problem to you to make gil, then be patient on the team adding more plots and wards. It's that simple.

Yes they have a flawed system which should be instanced. Yes, they went about the housing situation the wrong way with their other available options. Lets move beyond that now.

How about no. Until they fix this problem it remains a problem and as such people have every right to complain about it until it is fixed. In the meantime your quite welcome to not enter threads talking about it if do not consider it a problem. 2.4 will not solve the problem based on what they claim they (might) do as they also said they might not even manage to achieve doubling of current amount. Even if they do double it, the majority of the people who play this game will still be locked out of owning a house because the limitation of plots even after 2.4 which is not enough especially if many only want a small house or cannot afford a large one. I think there is no major problem with price personally in the case of small houses though I admit others disagree...but there sure as hell is a problem with availability, raising gil is possible by all who play if choose to save up but buying a plot is limited to only a microscopic amount of people compared to the number of players in this game regardless of how much gil might have (even after 2.4).

I don't think you quite understood my post. The problem is not the making of gil, it's what I'm doing with said gil. In WildStar, when I work on earning more gold, I'm doing so to obtain more decor items to continue construction on the elaborate plot I already have. In XIV, you work on earning gil to... buy the house. The customizing of homes in XIV was quite clearly a second thought - or perhaps SE is just not all that creative, or they just really, really like to control what their players do. Either way, the end result is: in one game, my money earning efforts go directly into more and more and more fun; in the other game, my money earning efforts drag on for months and then earn me one moment of satisfaction followed by "... and now what?"

I really, really want XIV to shift into the same category as the first game.

[edit] Dang I really need to post updates of my plots in WS... xD Those shots are old.

Entire post sounds like unneeded complaining just to complain. FFXIV is not Wildstar, nor should it strive to be like Wildstar in any way. If you like how housing works in Wildstar, then play Wildstar, enjoy the much easier housing system and doll up your house there. If you want to play with housing here, then you must abide and play by their own rules and go about housing in the matter they dictate.

If it's expensive, so what? You want it regardless so you will go through whatever length to obtain a house, making your complaints about spending such an exorbitant amount of gil essentially meaningless outside of stating your opinion.

You're quick to compare FFXIV to Wildstar, why not just forget about obtaining a house here and just play that instead? You can't have it both ways without sacrificing something.

How about no? You dudes complain like babies regardless of the fact that Yoshi-P has already came out with a statement that they are working on the problem and will have a fix in the next patch and subsequent patches. What more do you dudes want? I'm glad Yoshi gives you guys insensitive responses as he's been doing as of late -- if you're not willing to wait, then you deserve every terse response he's willing to give. He shouldn't have to tailor his response to every individual complainer and their entitled opinion.

Also you can't compare the scenarios because housing takes up far more resources than something that's instanced. This is how they want to do it. They will find a fix. All of you players with your vitriol and biased complaints don't really help the matter. Deal with the fact that they want to have housing in this manner and take solace in the fact that they are already working on a fix -- they don't need your further complaints. You're better off posting constructive criticism instead.

Again, the funniest part about all of this is the fact that they will figure out a way to make most people happy at the end of the day, and all of this complaining will be for nothing.

LMAO - great - is he willing to wait till we get back? Cuz you know, it's just as easy to cancel subs, wait 8 months till all these rubbish is sorted out and come back, assuming they do fixing these. If half the subscribers cancel their subs, that would be beyond amazing to send message to the developers. Put out - or you know - look forward for it, we will be back, once you put out

Shouldn't be a problem. He already encourages that people play multiple games, and come back whenever they want to a newer FFXIV. Lol.

Hey I like a game where I can leave for months or years and be able to come back and catch up. Let's hope this game does not fall into oblivion. But perhaps they don't really care. They only need a solid 100k subscribers to make decent profitable return, I mean look at FFXI, 11 years and going strong!!

Hard to move beyond something like this.

Imagine if relic upgrades were hyped for months and then announced to have a limited availability.

That light you're getting on your relic, well, for some asinine reason we couldn't program things so that everyone could get it. So, for crowded servers, less than 1% of the players will be able to get that light, and once it's gone, you just have to wait.

    Or, how about this scenario:

"We've released the Second Coil of Bahamut. However, due to server stress, there are only 160 instances available. Once those instances have been used, you'll have to wait until next patch to try. Oh, and we're still releasing a limited number of instances on the next patch, but hope to eventually release more. So, Second Coil of Bahamut is released, we know not everyone will be able to play it initially, but please look forward to it"

Would that be right? If not, then shut up about people who are upset that they can't access content because it's NOT AVAILABLE for access.

Everyone thought paid retainers and fantasia would be the end of it.
