I have never seen a Director/Producer be so passionate for the game and his fans. I mean he STOOD for straight hours for signing today, no table separating his fans (just a small stool next to him so he had something he could sign on), no chair, had 2 coke bottles on his table which was NOT touched for the entire day. Free photo sessions, skin contact was okay too.

I've been to many conventions and events where I attended autograph sessions. Never have a I seen a person stand for hours. Oh did I mention Superdry was the 'cameraman'? lewl

Though it is expensive, I think housing should be an achievement where players work hard to earn the gil, it should take some effort to buy a house. Players who laze around should make some effort to make gil.

Gee, I do remember making a considerable amount of gil...in 1.0. Whatever happened to that, I wonder?

I get that the availability is more of a problem than the price. I'm not exactly dirt poor, but I've been hovering between being able to getting a small, and not getting a small, and I'm certainly feeling jerked by the chain here...the same chain I'll likely be tied to should I buy a house that to the chance of it getting revoked.

"Laze around"...I have words for this,and some of them aren't for children to hear. I haven't been very happy with what's upcoming in 2.4, and this is one more thing I will not be looking forward to.

This response is getting old already. I still don't get it how SE can't end it. Why not concentrate on this problem first? does it mean housing can be entirely free without this lame excuse rearing its ugly head at your subscribers? I know someone will say its a very difficult problem to control, maybe even positive for SE profit wise. But tying every in game transaction to RMTs is suppose to be not our problem. I will even be happy if an entire expansion be a hunt that involves bringing down suspicious botters, gil sellers and cheaters in exchange for a log. Make gardening yields per harvest double/triple in amount and removing chocobo raising from FC housing will be an optional solution to this server limitation. All players need is not to have limited access in "every" aspect of the game.

There are a lot of mmo companies who post developer blogs for content they plan to put into place, it's not a new concept. Communication though is only good if the content is correct and not misleading. The entire principle of what we were to expect for housing was incorrect, from location to pricing, everything, this should have been made clear from the outset so that us (the players) would not have a sense of disappointment at feeling lied to/let down by Yoshi.

Its good you got to see him though!, but it is obvious (imo) he is oblivious to the main concerns with housing ppl are having and tbh to me a distinct vibe, he doesn't really care personal pride>product quality I assume , as it is with most ff series.

Personal housing is not an achievement nor should it be, but simply fun fluff that should be available to everyone from the start ( now that's just my opinion!) but making in line "work wise" or "achievement wise" with relic upgrades as you said is almost embarrassing if they think that way. lol sad.

I still want an explanation how gating people out of what is standard content for an MMO keeps RMTs away. I said it in another thread, the ridiculously high prices has made me consider buying gil for the first time since there is no way I will want to spend the time playing the market to get silly amount of gil I need for my house and I bet I am not the only one.

All SE is doing by gating content behind high prices is driving people into the arms of gil sellers.

some people don't complain about the price, but the lack of space mostly... without say, that the personal housing is the same than the FC housing on some server it's simply impossible to get a house now.
