It's as easy as testing for yourself, since crossclass abilites can be tested in rapid succession in towns by job changing.
Answer is no. Conv and Mantra do not affect Second Wind.

XI: Zeroblade, Titan Server
This is advantageous, since any healing received debuffs (infirmity) do not affect second wind, inner beast, or bloodbath either.
I don't always pug, but when i do, it's with Pretty Ugly Guys
Yes, I brought it up because it seems like in his video the OP is suggesting to combo Convalescence with self heals such as IB and Second Wind.

Yea not sure where in the vid you got this from haha, But i never said or suggested convo affects self heals because they dont.

I find my best use of convo is in between self heal CD or heavy dmg phases. If Bloodbath is down and I have used other self heals or don't want to use them I'll pop convo. Sometimes I find myself keeping it on CD, lol just coz.

I always pop Convalescence and Thrill of Battle together. I'm not sure if this is a no-no or not. I always felt like the two abilities went hand-in-hand. Personally, I feel like WAR gets better use out of Convalescence than PLD does, and it's not even our ability.
War already gets an extra 25% of healing. Now And Convalescence and watch Adloquims crit for 2k and higher.

Good guide! Bump.
Are you going to be updating your guide with the buff to storm's path?
Edit: Storm's eye my bad kinda derped there
