Yeah same here, I think people are stereotyping a bit much or thinking its the medieval/imperial Japan. Like Yoshi is going to commit seppuku now from his shame to save his family from sharing it. He is at worst screwing up one semi-popular game not bankrupting the entire company. Even Nintendo's CEO hasnt been run out of office and theve lost millions since WiiU. Im not excusing him, I want him to wake up and stop messing things up and get back in line with how he was doing things while developing for 2.0. Losing his job, not so much, I think he has it in him to fix things.I really don't think a resignation is called for, or a good idea.
XD I admit that I am displeased with housing, but look at this from a sales/corporate perspective: The headline will be Another Lead Man Out at Square Enix's Final Fantasy XIV. Even if the playerbase is well and truly furious with Yoshida and the rest of Dev Team, a resignation would be catastrophic PR-wise.
Not to mention unwarranted, imo.
Yeah, I'm right there with you. This is a bump in the life of the game. It's something the dev team should learn from and move on.I really don't think a resignation is called for, or a good idea.

Make Yoshi spend a week working at the Eorzea Cafe (frilly apron optional) to make amends, but not resign.
I see no reason why needs to resign but I do see a very big reason for him to change direction.
As it stands based on what seem in 2.38 and the plans they disclosed for 2.4, less than 2% of the player base will have access to personal housing and this is not acceptable. FC rooms is not the ideal solution either as there are many flaws to that excuse such as the whole point of personal housing is a home you will not lose just because change FC or have a falling out with members of an FC, will not be forced to ditch and abandon your friends in order to join one that has a house including not having to leave your friends by switching servers in worst case too. Personal house gives the freedom to do what you want with not just your single room but your house itself instead of only FC leader dictating how the property and land is used, also not being restricted to what others want in the garden instead of yourself and not losing a lot of your housing items just because left an FC.
Everyone should have the ability to have their own personal house provided they can afford to buy one, maybe require other such things as GC rank or finish a housing quest line but never should they be forced into this ridiculous land grab race which has been a problem since FC housing was introduced and is now vastly worsened by forcing individuals and FC's to compete for those same plots. The increase in plots available is also incredibly stupid at the current rate...as I said less than 2% of the player base will be able to obtain a plot after 2.4 comes out. If they need to upgrade their infrastructure to allow for them to keep their promises about new features and systems then they need to do it and stop trying to rely on the failing infrastructure that currently exists and limits their ability to provide the services they claim want to put in place and their customers have asked for.
They have to upgrade soon with the expansion coming out and with it a vast amount of new content and zones, instances and systems so instead of this farce of a housing solution they have inflicted on us this time around...just upgrade and build a system which services all their customers not just less than 2% of them.

Something I just remembered...
It was over a year ago, no word about it since then. But it doesn't matter, since it was over a year ago. It was then and now it's now? I don't know, when SE decided to be so quite about changes since informations were released, but I definitely don't like it.Q: Could you provide us more information on when we will be able to develop add-ons and when official add-ons will be released?
A: We've just begun working on the environment that players can use to create add-ons. We've been receiving a lot of feedback and have managed to increase the completion rate of the base aspects, and once we develop the tool based on this we will be distributing it to players and letting you make your own. It'll be possible to make these add-ons in approximately 6-8 months after launch.

1.) Seperate FC housing from personnel housing (PH) have it instanced for personel housing and have it locked to one house for all created characters for that account would save you allot on memory etc.
2.) All Free Company in your zone area's should have content to participate with for example chocobo stables with the current system should be placed in personel housing. A new version then should be created to battle you chocobos with fellow FC's to build up Strength/Speed/breed then crafters/DOL in your Free Companys can also be able to make a small race track to train your chocobo with other players for the upcoming races in Gold saucer content and make a rank system to be recognized for that. Obviously other content with group related content should be introduce over the course of game for free Company.
3.) Server's their is a odvious issue with these and should be address immediately, having this issue hanging over your head will only lead to more frustration and with your player base to hear over and over. I understand you have pressure from player base and your higher up but some things need to take more insight on implementation.
4.) This is my own personnel opinion and I understand other's will disagree, but please looking into some of these core complaints at hand and thanks.

I don't really think its up to us, SE gave him that position...it is up to him or them to remove him, if ever.
Personally, the fact SE made the same mistake twice, and now has lied more then once...is enough to make us unsub. That is all people can do really, money talks louder then this forum apparently. :P He does however, need to greatly change the direction of the game. I am guessing they will see a signifigant drop in subs and then realize (Like 1.0 all over again) oh hay, ppl aren't playing..we better start to actually listen. lol.
Let us trade our gil for Company Points.. We are running low lately and you would have a gil dump.![]()

Great post, snipped for space. However, if they had just made a small house have 2 gardening plots, medium 3, large 4 plus your suggestions, this could have solved some of the problems.
I have no prayer for that...
It's pretty much a case of Yoshi P/Development team being only as good as the last patch released. All the awesomeness and miracles performed before mean nothing in the eyes of the majority of the player base and the stakeholders. It's a shame really because there is so much good in this game and they have really turned things around since 1.0 but where they fail catastrophically is simply down to not managing expectations correctly which is a key aspect for any service being continually successful.Thing is, this is Japan, and they dont follow the same mindset we do in the US.
If Yoshi loses enough respect (aka "face") in the public eye, SE would not hesitate to can him if he didnt step down in shame on his own.
SE needs to preserve its image, and if Yoshi tarnishes that, his career is pretty much over.
