Yeah, yeah, FFXI... so sue me.

Anyway, TBH I am not too up in arms about the latest patch because I have a steady flow of gil, and already a personal FC house. However I am surprised they once again went with the "player housing lot" idea with personal housing. I kinda get it with FC housing, being able to see other "powerful" FCs in your neighborhood. However with personal housing... why not just make a zone line in each city, which would teleport you to your house? This removes the problem of people not being able to buy a house due to a ward being sold out, and also eliminates the original need for these high prices in the first place (people monopolizing lots). We already do this with FC personal housing too!

Heck, if you wanted the ability for people to enter your house, FFXI added that years later, allowing people in your party to come inside with you.

The only thing lost is the neighborhood and having a lawn (which could still be part of the instance), but does this outweigh the cons of the current system?
