What cause players to quit Final Fantasy XIV A Realm Reborn

I've said many times in other threads that the Atma grind should be fun, take as long or longer than it does now. But it should be fun..

I am not holding me breathe about it anymore to be honest. We get a relic update every time we turn around, Atma is still a tedium.
I just can't commit to it like others do, it's dreadfully boring...I'd like an alternative + FATE farming. They shove FATE's in your face too much in my opinion.
I'm always in for more variety, paths, choices etc.
