What am i doing wrong in the Ixal quests?

I tried for a couple days on my level 49 ltw.... yeah no luck.

Got annoyed several days in a row abandoning it for a lower tier quest. Decided to go try it on my culinarian and got 100% 3 times in a row... no issues...

Something is definitely broken when you can't complete a level 16 quest if you aren't level 50 melded for at least tier 1 master recipes..... yeah.....

Well, considering that the facility buff is supposed to lower the recipe level to your level, Detailing II could be bugged, I can't test out myself but someone should compare the quality/progress gain between all three buffs, perhaps trying with classes of different levels as well.

The thing is that these recipes are DESIGNED to be low level, even very low level. They are designed to offer experience when completed. The whole point of them is to be done by a low level DoH class to level up on. If this tier is so difficult that even a level 50 DoH with maxed cross class skills is struggling, there is something seriously flawed with the system. I'm banking on it being a bug with the location debuff.

got the "high wind" rank 6 quest yesterday and today. I spent about an hour (41 CUL) trying to hq, I ended up with around 50 nq items before finally completing it. I got the same quest today, after 6 attempts I just said screw this and abandoned for a lower tier quest.

all of the other rank 6's are fine, a few nq's here and there (not being a 50 crafter it's only fair), but that one craft is just... beyond frustrating.

also not gonna lie but everyone who gives help using lvl 50 skills it kinda makes me laugh sometimes when i ask friends and they say to use lvl 50 skills even after i tell them i am lvl 15 on everything but blacksmith and they go on talking about lvl 50 skills XD

That should tell you something; get at least CRP to lv50 for Byregot's Blessing and CUL to 37 for Steady Hand II.

Sorry to say, but its pretty obvious some of these synths are not meant for fresh crafters. Byregot's is almost required for these really high quality synths, and Comfort Zone is a really good idea as well.

After all...you don't want to be a BRD or MNK without Blood for Blood, a mage without Swiftcast, or a BLM without Quelling Strikes, right?

And note that this is a lvl 16 crafter quest we're talking about, you don't tell a lvl 16 to get to 50 before he can do his lvl 16 quest.

I have all my crafts to 50 I have never not hq one of these. If you are having problems with the ones where you can't use cross class abilities go on weaver for CS2

even with byregots you just wont have the cp get it done. so stop being elitist and saying you have to level crafters to 50 just to do on quest. i just hack away at it till rng blesses me 3 times

Can I craft the stuff as a culinarian, switch to a different craft class and get XP for it? My alchemist is hurting for XP

Not all of them; specifically High Wind in Ishgard (the one the OP is talking about) allows cross class skills.

Yep, Production Im not sure what the debuff is, but Detailing makes your base CP a certain number, Finishing halves your CP, and Specialization removes your ability to cross-class.
