Starting Ragnarok Online for the first time at a friends request. And then subsequently exploring every area in the game. I started as a Mage, and my friend told me to focus on getting Firewall before anything else. I remember leveling with him and watching as my cast time and damage rose as quickly as they did, and I got hooked. And every new place I visited was filled with such splendid scenery. From ice caverns to haunted clock towers, and so on. The skill system was fantastic. I really loved that game.

Now I'm building new memories in FFXIV. Leveling doesn't feel quite as great as it did in RO, but aside from that it's a definite joy to be had, and I'm having a blast playing.

Aion. I miss my old server drama, the forum pvp between Mortred and Goldenrice, the epic faction vs faction pvp battles in the Abyss, the instance camping forcing dozen and dozen of players to come pvp with transformed commanders just to kill a bunch of hardcore pvper's. I miss the endless zergs in Gelkmaros and hopeless 5 vs 30 battles. Pvp was so unbalanced but it was still the best moments I've ever had in an open world pvp game.

And flying. I miss flying a lot. This MMO had a lot of flaws and insane grind, but remains my favorite so far. I stopped playing after 3.0 update and constant domination of Elyos over Asmodians.

Ragnarok Online. Playing Agi-Int-Luk-Str Hunter for WOE and Lulz. I bet you there's no Stats built like that anywhere else.

Ill never forgive NCsoft. Im still mad!

also did you see the interview where positron matt miller said one of the omega powers was gonna be that you could not die. If you kept taking damage it would just drain your stamina till 0, then you were useless but alive.

I think we can come back. There's still some of us with those values and even newer players that have them as well. Alot of the vets are rather jaded and get a bit introverted. I see that quite a bit. They're helpful, they're nice. But only to those in their circles and guilds (FCs). They have the desire and capability of being more outgoing to strangers, but don't wish to be burned.

I just have the attitude of 'everyone gets one' when in Duty Finder or with strangers. I give them the benefit of the doubt. If things go sour, I ask what is wrong. Its only when someone ignores me and makes the same mistake over and over, or acts like a jerk to me that I turn my 'nice mode' off. And I definitely do not like people picking on my newbies as I call it :P Newbies can learn, jerks can't.
