Labor prices

I'm thinking of just opening up a PF shop and start selling things directly instead of dealing with MB undercutters and waiting for things to sell. My question to shop owners is what do you usually charge for your labor? Do you charge a certain percentage of what current MB price is? What about batch orders? How much do you charge per item? Melds? Do you give discount prices to people who have their own mats?

2 stars with your own mats is flat 30k fee/piece -> but now I only take tips = pay w/e you want
Meld before is 5k , some ppl sharge 2k/meld (tht mean if you need 2 meld on an item that ll be 4k) -> but now I only take tips

You know, the funny thing about this is it seems no one tips for melds anymore. The past several times someone wanted melds, I offered to help, meld and then wait for tips and boom, they left. Feels weird asking for tips, though. Seems like I should just straight up charge people so there's an understanding upfront that I expect gil for my services.

i dont have all my crafting up, but i have 2 lv 50s, and for what i can make, if the mats are provided, its always free. there are some things i offer, like the madmans whispering rod, for free, if i can gather all the mats and its easy to make, but i ask people that look like they need it( no 50s, close to the lv that can equip it).

if i can gather the mats, its a low price, but it varies depending on the lv of item and HQ/NQ. if i cant gather the mats, i either charge the price for the mats and the labor.

essentially, if all the mats are provided, shards/crystals included, its free, if i have to gather something to make it, its a relatively low price, i say it like that because im not going to charge 1k for a HQ lv 40 item when i have to collect half the mats. if i have to pay for anything, its the price of the item i bought and the price for labor.

I wasn't aware that his advertisement was impeding your game play. Does that also mean that FC recruitment should be kept out of PF as well? And your post implies that there's a certain limit to how many parties can show up in PF. If so, what is it?

Tell you what. You find me where in the ToS that says I can't advertise my services in the Party Finder, and I won't.

Charge a lot. What bugs me about people having you craft the item from mats is that the tips they pay you don't take into account the large amount of time you spent leveling all your crafts, getting your artisan tools, etc. I know they would just go to some other crafter to have it made if you won't do it, but meh, still bugs me >_>.
