Can someone help me, I tried to follow the chart but it didn't work. I want to get snow white chocobo. How do I get it when colors keep going all over the place. I fed only plums but it doesn't work. I already had to reset 3 times already.

I'm sorry to be jumping in so late to the game ... I just can't get the gumption up to read 51 pages of comments! ... but I have yet to see anything about hue/saturation/lightness (or brilliance in Photoshop) in any of the web searches I have done. The reason I bring this up is because the different dyes are grouped pretty much by their hue angles. Basically, "pure" red has a hue of 0, pure green of 120 and pure blue 0f 240, with values ranging from 0 to 359 (full circle). From the numbers I've gathered:
the greys are all over, as should be expected
reds run between 340 and 20 or so
browns from 15 and 40
yellows from 30 and 50
greens from 50 and 180
blues from 200 to 250
purples from 250 to 330
By "reds" I mean the dyes under the "red" group, etc. You can see there is very little overlap, based on hue angle (and what little there is might just be how my monitor is calibrated). RGB values, however, go all over the place compared to like dyes.
I'm working on it myself, but I'd suggest the "red" fruit probably shift the color towards a hue of 0, green fruit towards 120 & blue towards 240, from whatever angle you start on. Whether lighter and darker mean relative increases/decreases in the L and B values, I don't know yet. But have a look at the data and see if this scheme makes more sense.
What I will be working on is more of a graph of where the dyes chips fall on the HSB color wheel. Moving from Desert Yellow and trying to see if there are "steps" clockwise or counterclockwise, whether the size of the step matters based on the color the fruit affects, and what "lighter" or "darker" means in terms of "radius" on the color wheel.
Given that the fruit seems to affect red, blue and green somewhat specifically, that's probably the best way to look at things ... but HSB might take out some of the "RNG"-ness people are seeing given how the fixed dye values are arranged.

Good Luck! I took the long arse way around but I'm finally on Russet Brown and it took 3 Apples to get a message off of it. If it's not Wine Red in morning I'm going to be a sad panda. With the RGB numbers.. at this point that's about all it can be.Update on Mini Moose's route to Wine Red:
At this stage, she became a bit paranoid about falling into the regal pit and tried to avoid it entirely by doing one feather process from pears (3 pears) and two from berries (1 berry, 4 more berries). This number of processes took a JP player from Rolanberry to Wine, but that player had been feeding bulk fruits the entire time, so I anticipate that she will land on russet brown, kobold brown, grape purple, or midnight blue.
So far my entire route from Rolanberry Red: Rolanberry Red + 3 Pears > Regal Purple + 8 Pears > Bark Brown + 1 Apple > Regal Purple + 1 Pear > Bark Brown + 2 Pears > Mud Green + 2 Berries > Charcoal Grey + 1 Apple > Loam Brown + 1 Apple > Russet Brown + 3 Apples > ???
My Old Post with all my experimentation recorded in it.

I've been working on mapping out the dyes in a color wheel fashion. My colors are from a color picker (Colour to HTML), and the were taken from my character dye window. What I will be working on is more of a graph of where the dyes chips fall on the HSB color wheel. You are welcome to make a copy for yourself to play with- I'm guessing it should be able to be saved to your own Google Drive like spreadsheets are.

Great job. According to this you may add Grape Purple------>Mamook pears------>Shadow BlueI've been working on mapping out the dyes in a color wheel fashion. My colors are from a color picker (Colour to HTML), and the were taken from my character dye window.

Is Lavender Purple = Gloom Purple?![]()

It might be useful to you: I got Royal Blue -> Regal Purple once with Valfruit and once with Cieldelaes Pineapple (single proc).I've been working on mapping out the dyes in a color wheel fashion. My colors are from a color picker (Colour to HTML), and the were taken from my character dye window.
This time it only took one O'Ghomoro berry to get from Regal Purple to Royal Blue. Now I am trying to see where will Doman Plums take me from Royal Blue.

Alright, RNGesus is the ultimate troll. From the path we took before, Regal Purple + Pears went to Grape Purple. Because we're just trying crazy shit at this point in time, I decided to use the COLOR SIMULATOR. Three pears (one proc), one berry (one proc), six apples (three procs). Using the same formula but only 2 apples, someone got soot black, so maybe I'll overshoot it into wine red. Or maybe six apples was too much and I overshot it. Or maybe I'm off in no-mans-land somewhere. We'll see.
Completely Useless Summary
Desert Yellow to Millioncorn Yellow (Apples x4)
Millioncorn Yellow to Pumpkin Orange (Apples x7)
Pumpkin Orange to Sunset Orange (Apples x11)
Sunset Orange to Blood Red (15 Apples)
Blood Red to Dalamud Red (4 Berries)
Dalamud Red to Rolanberry Red (15 Berries)
Rolanberry Red to Regal Purple (3 Pears [1 proc], 5 berries [2 procs])
Regal Purple to Grape Purple (4 pears)
Grape Purple to ??? (3 pears [1 proc], 1 berry [1 proc], 6 apples [3 procs])
