The Point of Personal Housing

I would like a place to go to craft/hang out/have friends over that is independent of my FC. My FC is in a small house and plans on moving, so anything that is in the house right now is going to get destroyed when we move.

I know a lot of other FC's in small/medium houses who want to move to large.

Really the only people with 'secure' housing that can go all out are people in FCs that have large houses and really love their FC.

A personal house will be mine, and only mine. It will not depend on my FC relations, my FC master, or anyone else. If I want to go out and buy that purification module I can do so without the fear of losing 1mil-2mil gil.

I can also have house parties.

Needless to say I am pretty excited about it.

Oh, and on a last note, due to the land rush on servers, many new FCs do not have houses at all, there is literally no land. Many people cannot dye their chocos or garden or anything else since their FC literally has no way of obtaining any sized house.

The foremost reason for our FC to own personal housing is the ability to do gardening. Our FC is very small and one garden plot does not even begin to fulfill all of the things people want to do. Since gardening is used for a lot of new content, this makes things very difficult on deciding what to grow. Plants for pets, choco color food or training food, etc. And since the maturation of a lot of the plants take so long, it becomes problematic. I cannot even imagine the headaches for large free companies.

Your reasoning is fair, just wanted to let you know though, when your FC moves, many of the housing items they placed inside can be picked up, and placed back in the new house. As, ANYONE who has furnishing access's can pick up the items, place them in their inventory and move them into your new home (same can be down with items from your personal rooms to the FC house now for example). So unless the item gives you the 'warning this item will be destroyed if removed' message, you can move it when you move and/or move it from the main house to someone's personal room right now.

My FC mates and I all use the '3rd page' of the FC chest to share and pass housing items back and forth that we for whatever reason don't want in our rooms/the house anymore. So that couch you placed in your room, you now wish to get rid of so you have room for a desk? NP. You can put in in the FC chest and anyone else w/ access can pick it up and place it in their room or the FC house without worrying about the whole 'bound' thing.
