The Point of Personal Housing

The point of personal housing:

- to have something to do when bored
- to have something for bragging
- to have a house that looks the way you like it and not the way your fc leader like it

Probably many other possible reasons. I have personal chambers but I still will get personal house if I'll be able to afford it.

thats the point of a personal room not a personal House as it is a personal house is just that with the added benefit that you can farm on your own so..... Shouldnt they have just added say a mog planter for the personal rooms to get the same effect?

So I'm not really thinking about personal housing at all. I've done so much with the FC house and my personal room that I don't want to leave it.

So what exactly is the point of a personal house? Everyone at some point in their play joins an FC, so everyone has access to being able to purchase their own personal rooms (to which many people have already invested a lot of effort into making theirs' look awesome already).

Maybe all we need instead of personal housing is just the ability to be able to log out in our rooms? Like stabilise the server you are coming from so it doesn't load you into a weird space like it did sometimes before.

So far there isn't much of a point since it is just a copy/paste of FC housing. Was hoping personal housing would at least have SOME different features (like extra storage). Hope they have more plans for it besides being a FC house for 1.

Regardless of the size of your FC, a small house is a drop in the bucket investment in gardening alone. The cost of a large home is around 40 million gil. You can buy 10 small houses and have 10 gardens for that! Of course, you have to trust the personal house owners to do the right thing and continue to work for the better of the entire FC, not just themselves.

I heard that in order to buy a Personal house that player needs to be a member of an FC is that true? It doesnt seem very practical. What happens to your personal house if you leave your FC or it gets disbanded?

No, I had two friends without FC's purchase land last night. This is a private house that does not depend on the existence or coexistence of an FC. If someone uses FC funds to purchase a personal house and then quits the FC... Goodbye funds. A lot of room for people to abuse their power in an FC that has a pool of resource and income.
