Unfortunatly, my test are only on apple and berries... I don't have fruits in stock to further my test, my garden is currently used to get a Thav Onion and i don't want to waste too much money on this (need to get some Det 4 materia >__<)

so i am stuck on royal blue, I have followed a few charts and instructions on my journey to get soot black (feed berries, pears, or apples, and finishing with pineapple) but I always end up with regal purple or back at royal blue . any advise or tips?

Try:
pineapple 3
apple 5
pear 4
berry 2

You're in a tough place, any variation I tried by adding or removing one of the above lands a different color. Whichever the case, it will bring you the closest and may be fixed next.

I was going for Soot Black, but I think I'll stick with Ink Blue.

I wanted celeste green so I fed my choco with 13 plums and 2 berries, just like other users have already suggested and I got celeste green

So, I finally got a stable for my FC and my fruits are in so dyeing time for my chocobo Frobisher! I will update as I go along.

I am working off of this diagram since the calculator that's going around is REALLY confusing to me.

Here's what I have so far:

Starting colour: Desert Yellow
Aim colour: Rolanberry Red
Rank: 3

First feeding
5X Apples
3X 'new feathers' message
Anticipated result: Sunset Orange
Actual Result: Millioncorn Yellow

Second feeding
5X Apples
1X 'new feathers' message
Anticipated result: Pumpkin Orange
Actual Result: ((unknown))

Results are in!

New color! Pumpkin Orange!

Third feeding
9X Apples
1X 'new feathers' message
Anticipated result: Sunset Orange

I'm so confused. I fed my snow white chocobo 1 O'ghomoro berry trying to get Lotus Pink but I got celeste green. Since then, I managed to get it back to snow white.

Should I try to valfruit instead?

I have gone back and fourth from Deepwood Green and Ink Blue now 6 times each. .....

Deepwood Green -> Valfruit -> Ink Blue.

Ink Blue -> Pineapple > Deepwood Green.

Deepwood Green -> Valfruit -> Ink Blue.

Ink Blue -> Pineapple > Deepwood Green.

Deepwood Green -> Valfruit -> Ink Blue.

Ink Blue -> Pineapple > Deepwood Green.



Just want to get Soot Black and be done with this. :/ its getting frustrating waiting 6 hours and getting a wrong result every time when your following the correct RGB changes....

What the hell do i do?

I'm caught in a loop too between Rolanberry Red and Abyssal Blue :/

No matter what I do, I can't seem to get the Midnight Blue route in order to reach Soot Black ;w;
