So i finally achieved soot black

I had been going back and forth from Ink Blue, and Deepwood green for almost a week.

After getting fed up giving him the single fruit corrections i tried somthing a little different.
I landed on deepwood green 2 feeds ago, I have him one valruit and one Apple

I figured the Valfruit bounced him back to the obvious Ink Blue, and the Apple pushed the red values enough for Kobold brown, Much to my delight I was correct and he became Kobold Brown.

From here i fed a single Doman Plum and there he was, my beautiful black beauty :3







About 18 feeds later I'm finally finished with this part of my FFXIV Career... /whew... now my girlfriend can stop making fun of my chocoholic obsession (ironically now she's interested in getting her desired color.)


Good luck to anyone else still on the journey or stuck in the loop! i'll browse here for a few more days to help figure out colors for people etc!

grats, what did you feed to make him kobold brown? I read its 55r 39g 31b but i have no idea what that means lol

Can someone see if this makes sense: I'm currently at midnight blue, trying for ink blue. Midnight blue is at (20, 21, 49) while Ink Blue is at (22, 26, 34) according to the spreadsheet; so if I want to get to ink blue, I would add one pear (which puts me at 15, 26, 44) one pineapple (to put me at 20, 31, 39), and then one apple to put me finally at 25, 26, 34, which is hopefully close enough to get ink blue. Does this make sense? Or should I try just doing one colour change at a time from midnight? Any advice would be great!

Well, I was Midnight Blue, trying for Soot Black... and ended up with Ink Blue.
2 pinapples (got one feathers message)
2 apples (got two feathers messages)
2 pears (got two feathers messages)

Hi guys, I have same problem with loop colors , From marsh green(feed 2 berries with 1 feather msg) become deepwood green (feed 1 Pineapple with 1 feather msg) and back again to marsh green, im trying to get soot black. I think i might feed it wrong fruit when it at Deepwood green. Now i end up back to marsh green, Any advice from here? thx in advance

Finally I got my soot black
So who ever having same problem like me ( Marsh green loop Deepwood green ) try get back Marsh green and feed it with 1 berry and 1 apple, that what i did today. hope this will hep
