The gyshal greens in which you can grow, are they the same item as purchased from the vendor to summon your companion? Or are they different?

The same ones you can buy from the vendor to use for summoning. I actually ended up getting 24 seeds by accident. Two of my fruit plants had crossed even though I used all grade 3 shroud soil.

We ended up with a whole pile of glyshal green seeds as well thanks to the colouring feeds. This really makes me hope there is an awesome intercross with glyshal seeds somewhere x)

For a deluxe patch, what is the recommended planting order? I also see that usually first plant is not going to cross, and that you do not need to use grade 3 Thanalan for all 8 plants?

.... having just now harvested my 4 mustard seeds. Must decide whether to replant the mustard next to Onions (for science), or to plant something I know has a chance to give me more valuable seeds....... I choose SCIENCE!!!
Will report back in a few days with the (likely disappointing) result.

Planting order doesn't matter if you are going for 1 type of crossbreed seed per patch, you just need to make sure each seed you plant after the first one is next to something. First plant will never cross if there is nothing next to it the moment you plant it. If you want all the plants to crossbreed then you will want to use Thanalan soil for all of them except the first one, which can be whatever soil you have on hand (I use G1 Shroud since it is cheap).

If the first seed is a cheap one, you can remove it when you are done planting and replace it with a new one. Then it will be able to cross.

Thats good to know I can always rip out first plant and replant it, that would help in having an extra plant to possibly produce. I will have to read up more on when to use grade 3 shroud alternating with grade 3 thanalan. Still absorbing and understanding how it all works combination wise. Experimenting is a good thing.
