It's telling players the game is bad, while citing incorrect, exaggerated and - as you point out as well - soon-to-be out-dated information.

Regardless, the score or what people may think of it isn't the issue.

The issue is with the review itself, the incorrect info, the suspect timing... and so on. Those are the things people are taking issue with.

You keep trying to reduce it all down to a bottom line of "people will see the score and figure the site thinks it's just a poor game". They may well... but then that's the impression they could have gotten from just about any other review out there.

Again... the score or the "impression" it gives, is not what is at issue.

It's the content, timing and delivery of the review itself that is in question.
