Well so far I got what I wanted and predicted so yea I'm confident, not to mention I seen a few more people who said the exact same thing I said, are you saying we are wrong because you interpreted differently than I did something another person said? (Not to mention the fact that if you were right I'd never have been able to reach Snow White, since when I used the pineapples during the third feed, my green and red values would have went up as my blue one went down, which did not happen, this is a fact that you can't ignore)

Anyway, you can't win these kind of discussions as both sides will always think they are right and never change their mind so let's end this useless thing now, there's no point in repeating the same thing over and over again.

Ok, just fed my Midnight Blue Chocobo, 3 Pineapple *1 new feather message.
Going to take a guess and say it will either end up with ink blue or black.
Just a guess, but thought I would give it a shot. Be back in 6 hours to say if it worked.

Fruits only have one effect, there is no lighten x and darken y and z, y and z appear darker only because you removed x, but their value never got up, otherwise it'd be impossible to get white in multiple feeds like I did since every step would cancel the previous one.

Phyllo is correct. This is how it works. Been having very predictable results.

Ah okay, well, his(her?) post is very well made, easy to understand even tho it relies a lot on RNG (and the dyeing system in its entirety) even tho I misred a part of it.

problem is in this case just how the hell was I able to pinpoint get these colors if it works the way you think it does, it would have been impossible for me to get rose pink by using 11 valfruits since the red and blue would have increased by the same value, I'd have gotten some thing like a really dark shade of purple and yet got a very light pink.

Then I used plums, I should have gotten a sort of deep blue like othard if we follow your thinking, yet, again, I got the lowest value of blue you can have, then I used pineapples and should have gotten a light yellow, yet I got white.

I admit I luckily pin pointed the colors I predicted but fact is I still got it while your thinking is completely wrong on the results, my facts and your theory are opposed, either you are wrong or are on the good track but still far from the truth.

I think the reason why you believe it works like that is because of the fact we don't have all the colors of RGB, which makes it works by range of value instead of precise value, if the value you got is within a range you'll have one chance out of the many ranges your values are in to get the one you want, even if the color you get makes no sense at all.

I wish you to be correct, but alas you are not. I've helped multiple people in this very thread get to the plumage colors by using Syrehn's very detailed explanation along with calculating the values out.

Each fruit does indeed affect all three color values positively or negatively. It is very much possible to reach every color as well. If you want to reach Black (all values near zero) you would feed a trio of Darkeners (as they subtract two colors while giving a positive boost to the other). Think about it like this:

Xelphatol Apple: +R -G -B
Mamook Pear: -R +G -B
O'Ghomoro Berry: -R -G +B

Total -2R -2G -2B

The net result is a mass decrease in values to ALL colors evenly.

The thing is I fed individually instead of giving all the fruits at the same time, which means that one step would negate the previous ones and your example is only valid if you feed every fruit you need at the same time.
