    I'ts all based on stat weights.

    Your full thrusts will do more damage if you have the max amount of det and str possible, which might not be the combination you want for the most DPS in an encounter.

    For example, having 50 crit over 10 det is definitely a dps increase according to stat weights, but the 50 crit will not affect your full thrust damage. This will lead you to similar full thrust damages between people despite better gear as DRG bis stat weight wise has a lot more crit and skillspeed than det.

    Oh, you have Novus, that weapon dmg definitely helps. It is nice seeing over 1600 crits, though.

    Yes, that is indeed nice to have for novus.
    I have only about 300 det, i don't punch out 1600 very often sadly.

    That aside,
    I was just crunching the numbers,
    But a HQ Wolfram with

    Savage might 4
    Savage might 4
    Heaven's eye 4
    Heaven's eye 4
    Savage might 3

    Seems to outweight even the high allagan headgear by alot (Wolfram @ 30.288, HA at 27.672). Or did i get some numbers wrong?
    That's more det added, i'm thinking if i should use that to pump my det up to get higher damage.
    But not sure whether that little change warrants the massive gil that has to be poured into it.

    You are correct, the pentamelded wolfram helm is BiS based on stat weights. Depending on the turn and accuracy cap, I will switch between the HA and the Wolfram. While its nice to have both, the wolfram is not completely necessary for the cost. I also melded my helm when Savage Might IVs where 100k on my server...now they're 500k!

    Yeah, i spent a little fortune on the dumb belt, now i saw the wolfram and i was like another million? No way.
    Gotta have my priorities right, colour my chocobo first. :P

    Hello Fellow Dragoon,

    First, i wanna thank you for all the useful infos gathered here and second,I would like to have your opinion on my burst/opening rotation and gear set please :

    HT-ID-PS-DI-leg sweep-CT-B4B-PH-Jump-TT-VT-LS-FT-IR
    HT-TT-VT-SSD-FT-DFD then PH .....

    The reason i use B4B after CT is so that my last FT and DFD are still buffed when using them(really tight timing,current skill Speed is 395 with HA choker-414 with sold choker).
    If i use b4b before CT,i have high chance of not having it for DFD and my last FT.
    I will sometimes move IR(15 sec so 2 full TT rotation but since i need refresh HT,am loosing a skill) to right before VP depending of the fight.

    What do you think of it and any advice would be highly appreciated,

    sold head/still wondering if i should switch to my wolfram head pentamelded max crit/det

    ST body
    ST belt/ same for belt,pentamelded max crit/det

    I'm curious. With iLV continuously increasing, are we going to eventually reach a point where Straight Shot and Raging Strikes from being LNC are going to overcome Jumps and the 20 STR from being DRG?

    To clarify what I mean, lets look at STR at the iLV tiers we've had.

    iLV LNC DRG
    70 - 407 427 4.7% increase

    90 - 479 499 4.1% increase

    110 - 558 578 3.5% increase

    And with Skill Speed continually increasing, animation lock from Jumps is going to start having negative returns on our DPS at some point.

    Highest damage Full Thrust for me, 3465. HT, BFB, Hi-potion buffs with disembowel debuff and 4 stacks of Disseminate debuff in T5.

    With i110 weapons you shld be dealing about 1.6k with food, HT, BFB and party buffs, 1.7 -1.8k with potions.

    That's actually really interesting. I'm kind of curious to see if they would do anything to make the gap a bit bigger.

    That's really interesting.
    I was also thinking of switching away my HA ring with a weathered gloam ring because of the determination stat, although the stat weight is only slightly lesser (0.xx), but having more DET seems to balance it out.

    I'm sitting on about only 300 det with food now, it could be boosted to 320 if i pentameld that wolfram helm.
