Not a fan of OP's idea, but I will say that the change to B's being 100% useless outside of the weekly has negatively effected the entire system of hunts.
I hope they consider adding all of the daily's as B's instead of FATE and trash mobs.
No real fix actually as far as getting full credit is concerned, one can get full credit but comes along someone that resets it, well full credit is then out the window.
Has happened to me a few times were people reset and instead of 10 seals i would for sure of got only ended up with 1(just an example).
Some changes especially to B Ranks i think were better, not certain a real solution exists.
And i do not think what has happened to B hunts is negative at all, many players that did massive amounts of hunts like some of the hunt lshells used radar programs, so sort of cuts them out a bit.

Let's just rename them world bosses then since everyone is supposed to attack it at the same time. If you miss the kill well that's part of the 'hunt'.
That's what gets me about the people who want SE to make sweeping changes to hunts to make it more "fair".
There is a way to be successful at hunting. And the beauty of it is it is 100% dependent on cooperation between players. On Leviathan, we have a network of hunt linkshells. If there's room and a person is actively hunting, they can get an invite. It's got nothing to do with exclusive groups, elitist players (though the linkshell is named Freaking Elite), or who can cheat the most. Now I will readily admit I'm by no means a hardcore hunter, but my experience with hunts on Leviathan has been extremely positive (though I'm sure someone from Leviathan will show up here to tell me I'm delusional). XD
You just need to muster your courage and talk to people. Only you can make your community stronger.

You understand this goes both ways right. Expecting people to wait for you is no less selfish than them pulling early. Both of you want full credit, both of you have different ideas on how to get it. (and since in this case, the content IS 'hunting' it would be logical to assume those who get the most credit were actually out hunting and not simply chilling in gridania crafting until they saw 'S mark <pos>). The only people who should be expected to follow Hunt LS rules are those using Hunt LS intel/groups to find mobs...everyone else can do what they please and be considered just as selfish as everyone else...no more, no less.
Still most 'early' pulls I've seen happen were accidental. Someone had trigger finger. Someone Face-pulled. Someone saw provoke and mistakenly thought people were attacking the mob...etc. None of this is done in with a malicious intent. Stuff happens.
The easiest fix here would be an immunity window, but what we did in our LS was make sure we had tanks and healers in each group then did minimal dps on it while they got most of the threat in. This ensure everyone would get full credit as long as people got their three hits in and didn't pop any dps cooldowns so that everyone had the opportunity to tag the mob.
B Rank changes really hurt our community. People hardly group anymore now, and we have no more need for organization so there's no communication or anything like we had. It's just a mad rush to kill because nobody wants to miss the next A window due to no longer having Bs to supplant what was missed. It's terrible.
Also immunity windows won't do crap to solve the problem....other than potentially make it worse. All the window does is prolong the time until people can attack, but once the window is down, people can still attack just like they can now. So people will just stand their purposefully spamming DD moves to pull as soon as window opens....only now, more people will have shown up to whine about it.
And the B rank changes are great. People are actually, out of kindness calling out a B in /sh if they see it to help others....even if it's not their mob. People who just wanted to do their weekly can now do so, and the mechanics of the B rank (with it respawning somewhere on the map 5 seconds after killed) actually makes it HUNTING. You have to actively look for your mark (unless as I said, you get lucky and someone spots it and calls it out). Not be told 'here it is' and just wait for the zerg. Or keep trying to find it, just to miss doing enough damage for weekly credit. So the funny thing is, (in tying it back to what the poster above you said about selfishness), because the Bs are now 'worthless' to the hoarde, people are actually being kind to random members of the community without any reward in it for themselves. Now THAT is selfless behavior.
I'm going to call shenanigans on NyneAlexander. If he was really concerned with his community he'd wait for all his ls, fc, & friend list buddies to log in before a pull.
Do you shout out for every fate-pop npc that you happen to come across? Do let everyone know that something on the MB is super low priced at the moment? Do you walk up to a level 49 & say, "let's party up & get you to 50 stat!"?
Where do you draw the line folks?!? Where do you draw. The. Line. ?
Only thing that annoys me is when it gets called out (I'm in 6 full hunt shells, I don't really miss any of the action), and then its "pulled and dying" within 20 seconds of that. I wish people had more trigger control than just unloading into it full spread when someone does accidentally face-pull it. I have a good PC and sometimes the loading screens are longer than usual because there's the other 500 people all zoning in at the same aetheryte, and early pulls are really weak because of that. I'm not saying "wait 10 minutes for granny to show up", but "let the bastard live for 2 minutes please".
They should make it so the less people kill A and S ranks the higher chance to get a log, that way hunts can be done as intended.
