    2) Feeding them beyond the "starts to grow new feathers" announcement either has absolutely NO effect, or is capped at some point. we will know in a few hours as one of our guys has fed the pineapples and stopped at the first "new feathers" announcement.

The question then remains, did you feed pineapples first or last (actually a moot question, the pineapples were the only thing that affected your bird)
The real question is how many successive "starts to grow new feathers" announcements did you receive? It might be that "starts to grow new feathers" is what triggers the color change. Based on this, it might be an RNG-based system.

Got exactly what I wanted first try, a Slate Grey choco ^.^

Not sharing what I did to get it though :P

Jkjk, I fed 21 O'ghomo berries (darken blue), 7 Xelpatol Apples (darken red), and 7 mamook green things (darken green). Only a couple darker shades of grey/black available, I'd assume adding a couple more of each would give you charcoal grey, then a couple more of each on top of that for soot black?
    Edit: Fixed image link

As we are now learning, your bird was probably only affected by ONE food, the question is, which one, and how many? And the terminology is "deepen" not darken. Still not certain exactly what that means.... that's why we're posting here.

I'm all for single food experimentation and stopping at the "new feathers" announcement, so we can know the real deal here.

Eh, I'm gonna have to express my Disagreeance with that idea. I read the posts you're referring to, but prior to that I read that for example Darkening blue adds a small amount of blue and reduces a decent amount of red and green, Lightening blue might reduce a small amount of blue and add red and green. I feel like that lines up better with all the different colors we are seeing after a single session, because this idea supports what we are experiencing with people getting the same results with different combinations.

Either way, I certainly don't feel we're at the point where "probably" is applicable towards the idea of being affected by a single food.

OK, disagree if you like, but the fella I quoted use ALL 3 "lighten" fruits, and ended up with the same color as my single fruit experiment using 1/3 of the quantity ......

Suddenly the math becomes more clear, yes?

And I still think all these RGB measurements need to be taken in a SINGLE lighting scenario......

    I'm lost.
    I've gone to find myself.
If I should return before I get back,
    Please ask me to wait.

Is the lighting inside the bar in Mor Dhona always the same possibly?

If my math is correct, for Blood Red the color scheme is 139, 52, 34. Thats a deviation from the base color of -77, -123, -46. It just so happens that 77+46 = 123
    DEEPEN BLUE : [-R, -G, =], DEEPEN RED : [=, -G, -B]

So assuming a 6 point shift for each snack, that should take 7 deepen red, 13 deepen blue.

Please correct me if I am misremembering something from earlier in the thread, I will try to test this tonight and will have results tomorow.

Nice. I did the same, but did 30/15/15 So I will see if I get a darker one.
