The first week hunts were out I had 8 sands, but after that I didn't do it as hard core because you get to the point where you are capped on sands because of the soldiery cap. I don't even think its possible to do that anymore with the nerf to Bs.
Casual will be able to net quite a few seals without going after A and S now.
I don't like the changes. I'll make less seals with these new changes.
But it just made my grind better. I can now happily avoid the hunt crowd and still get rewards at albeit a slower pace than them, but way better than at the snails pace that was my only option previously. (Again, I just don't like the hunt tele-zerg-fest that had been happening previously). Now I can do my marks, even group w/ friends if I want, but I can avoid the chatter, and hoarde. And those who really were grinding hunts non-stop, have most of what they want anyway. This adjustment just helps people like me who would prefer, for whatever reason, to do things more freelance/solo.
Yeah, this. ^^ This is an aspect of MMO's that really irritate me.So basically anyone who spammed hunts before won, and those of us who spaced it out a bit got screwed. Yay.
I mean, this sounds like a great system if it had been there from day 1. But now they've just made it harder for others to catch up on gear, while rewarding those that did nothing but hunts since the last patch.
-Devs introduce new gear (or a way to attain it), its WAY to easy to get, lots of people get said gear and are elited out quickly.
-Community cries, Devs nerf said gear making it take twice as long to attain.
Dev's really need to get these things right from the get go. I know its impossible all the time to know how things will turn out, but this whole Hunt madness seem like a careless blunder.
What I am wondering is, they did not change the reward on soldiery and mythology on the B rank? Or B rank now only reward seals if you have it as one of your daily or elite - but does not give you anything else? Does the A and S still reward the mythology and soldiery tomes? Because if A and S is not changed at all, then now everyone will solely focus on these, and do nothing but these, and still causing tons of grieving, cursing, and just toxic yell and shout for pulling early. Though now 24 people can come at once, unless another group was there first and decided to kill that A rank NOW!!
The Bs were changed cause everyone kept zergging them. Even right until the servers went offline tonight, I seen many large groups of people swarm B marks, so it was obviously a problem if Square had to change how you get rewarded for a B mark.
It also was to bring it back in line with what was intended. But it just made my grind better. Couldn't agree more with this. People who like to zerg everything can still do so with A and S ranks, but at least people who prefer to take things at their own pace are free to do so, and not fall grossly behind the rushers. But it just made my grind better.
