    Was Coil 2 and Ramuh extreme over tune?

    I been thinking for a while since 2.2.. Was coil 2 and ramuh a bit over tune for average gamer? It is an observation a made over since 2.0. At the beginning of 2.0, even beginner group can made decent progress into first coil; with enrage method they can get to turn 2 , and they can get some coil loot for their trouble. And best of all, they felt they are working in progress and not wasting their time.

    However, when 2.2 hit, people run into a wall known as turn 6. It was much too hard for average player. It took me a few weeks before I got my wins with a pug. Iknow more than a few group that can't turn 6 due to its unique property at the end. You either need crazy DPS or u need melee lb the giant slug. That mean: for a static that do average damage with no melee lb, they are screw basically. Actually, in fact, in 2.2, most of the tactic for turn 6-8 require some sort of melee lb; super slug in t6, final add in t7, and the dread in t8.

    Now let's move to Ramuh Ex, it is a bit pain in the ass. I simply do not believe a group of pure i85 pug can beat it. And worst if all, it require a lot of coordination as well as "trust". Why trust? Simple, you must trust someone who is going to the shock the charmed, otherwise, double shock happens and cause wipe. And Tanks want people to clean up the orbs left behind but doesn't say so. Wipe again.

    Before anyoen say I am complaining, I am currently working on T9, but still haven't clear Ramuh yet because much like everyone, I go hutbn to upgrade my gear for the first 2 weeks and nowsdays the on;y Ramuh group are either total beginner or want pure expert only. Neither are ideal for learning

    No. I don't think it was overtuned for the average Joe gamer. However it's probably overtuned for NEW gamers that have no experience with team work and coordination in MMOs. That's why the difficulty should always slowly go up in content. So that it's not a cake walk up until x content. This is another reason why I don't think content should be nerfed to the ground. It'll already get "nerfed" enough by Ilvls going up with new content.

    The difficulty in this game is non-existent. Savage coil is the only thing that has presented a single challenge to me, and it annoys the living hell out of me when I see people complaining wah wah wah its too hard. If the content is too hard for you, go do some of the more casual stuff. Don't ruin our fun just because you want to have something to complain about, because I could on the other hand complain about this game being too easy all day long. There is plenty else to do in this game to satisfy everyone. Let us more hardcore players enjoy our rough content that makes us smash our heads on the wall for several hours at a time. If you don't like it, its simple... go do hunts or fates or get your novus, or something of the more casual nature.

    There's no reason to make this game super wishy washy easy peasy just because the players who can't do it are going to whine that ITS TOO HAAAAARD.

    Also, complaining that loot is locked behind difficult content that is too hard for some people is no reason to give us content with no rewards. There's no reason the better players who can actually do this stuff don't deserve some sort of reward for their efforts... and right now just a simple little title is enough for me, but going forward now that we know this content is possible to clear, there is no reason to hold back. So what if only 100 people are able to achieve it? Then only 100 people deserve the prize and the rest can either get good or keep their mouth shut imo. I could say that obtaining novus is far too easy and just a waste of my consumable time and could cry all day that I'll never get it because I don't have the time to waste on that crap, but I don't.... I just don't get one instead. It should go both ways. If you're not good enough to clear the content, you don't deserve the loot. Go get your casual loots from CT/Hunts/FATEs instead.

    To be fair the fights in this game heavily rely on people knowing the script or you are forced to die over and over to weird mechanics, rather than actual "difficulty".

    You don't die to T5 divebombs because they are "hard", you do because you have no idea of what is going on until you learn Yoshi's dance.

    Also add the fact that ramuh ex doesn't drop ilvl 110 rings. This is a major hindsight since you can now get unweathered rings in literally 1-3 hours, depending on your luck with log drops. Why they didn't do the same for ramuh makes no sense to me. SE has been making poor choices like this and its really irritaing me.

    primal loot is meh and should always be meh compared to coil. The first wave of extremes was too OP for how easy it was. Although I will admit that it's far too easy to get i110 accessories from just collecting soldiery and seals from hunts... shouldn't be max level rewards for something so stupid casual as hunts. If anything yeah, the loot from hunts should be i100 and the new primal/coil should be i110.

    See, I disagree completely.

    The system we had at launch where BCoB and Myth both gave i90 gear was the best system. Tieing sands and oil to SCoB is where they went wrong.

    Just because a portion of the playerbase doesn't/can't do the hard stuff doesn't mean that they don't want to progress too.
