Casual players can still do A and S.The Hunt was suppose to be an activity that would help casual players to catch up with their gears. Although I welcomed the changes to daily and weekly mark, the reward got nerfed to oblivion on the B mark which is puzzling 274 seals a week is a mere pittance.... it should be a good 500-700 a week. Even on that numbers, it will still take MONTHS for casual people to catch up with the oils and sands. The most puzzling of them all - we had more than a month where people ZERG all the B, A, and S mark and getting boatload of seals.
And now A and S receive no changes, and B rank is heavily nerfed for the casuals, forcing people to even further camping A mark and keeping it for themselves. Further adding more toxic behavior to the server... These changes are not for the better for us all. Casuals get scraps, yeah you can solo at your own pace, but the reward is pittance and the goal is to further waste your time. While hardcore camper get rewarded with boatload of seals, myth and soldiery tomes. What a great solution to divide the player base even more...
You are talking about "lazy players".
I always fight with my chocobo out for chocobo Xp. My chocobo is rank 9 and his skill points are spread evenly. On my BLM I run him in healer stance. As for hard hitting attacks, they could be avoided. Wouldn't you use your chocobo? They are your companion for a reason.
The dev team has a long way to go before they fix the damage hunts did to the game. It took them 1 month ~! To come up with a 'solution'.
In that month the game was slowly dying. All it takes is one wrong patch.
I used to be a daily active casual. Now i can hardly even force myself to log on.
You seem to have no understanding of what casual player is... Unless you happen to log in at the right time and get lucky with S ran popping, casual players have no chance to catch the A train. Maybe they can get one A mark if there is any vacancy on a hunt party, but that's pretty much it. By changing the B mark to cater to people who rather not deal with Zerg Zombies, they could easily offer a tidy solution between the hardcore horde and the rest of us. Right now the band aid is merely acceptable but further divide the casuals and the hardcore - and they did not change the reward on the A and S rank one bit. Let's be honest, people do Hunt because of the unlimited access to oil and sand. If they let you use wolf mark and myth tome to get oil and sand, Hunt will not be as crowded.
And the sad thing is, SE should just copy what they already did with their other online game called FFXI, which offer perfect solution for this. They have an event called Voidwatch, google that. If Yoshi implement this, it will promote interaction between player within each servers. And there is zero competition between alliance.
BTW... these so called "Lazy Players" still have to do some effort if they want to complete their daily Hunt marks or their weekly. There is nothing remotely intelligent about hunting Zerg Zombies, a monkey can teleport and run to position ASAP while yapping "OMG DON'T PULL, PLS WAIT, INVITE, RESET". Then proceed to spam zerg-a-thon to a NM that give you zero resistance and will be dead within seconds.

The only damage they did was these changes, hurting all players that wanted to catch up a little bit before 2.4 came out and completely outdated the whole system. Everyone who took the initiative to ask our hunt LS on Leviathan for an invite was welcomed in, no matter how casual you were. This included fresh 50s and new players.
Also, i110 gear doesn't do anything but give people trying to clear content a little bit more of an edge. T5 and T6-T9 are still very much skill based fights that require proper coordination and execution no matter what. Not to mention that you are still capped in what you can upgrade based on what soldiery pieces you can even buy that week.
They should have fixed rendering and resetting issues instead of this.
Daily hunts are definitely not "casual" friendly now. What casual player has 2 hours to sit around waiting for a FATE to pop? Casual friendly would require changing spawn rates on the FATES to 15 mins or less.
Casual friend will use the leves system, i fight for this, but it seems peoples don't want it, or don't care.
most people don't use the leves system at all (outside level up crafting class) use the same system for the hunt can make everything more smooth than actually.
better you can get a bounty you arrive in the area, you use the bounty, you have to find the target and slay it before the end of the timer.... far better than what we have soo far.
Even the rank A and S can make use of the alliance system + faction leves from the V1 that allows you to launch leves of group for face hard content. it will reduce all this toxic community we have actually.
because it's still there, early a Rank A killed, and because it was pull..."early" some was insulting the people.
