If they relegate the gun-using class to Healer, I'll puke. Sadly, I think that's exactly what they're going to do.

What wrong with a Gun class that can become a Healer?
Medics is the common thought when a gun type class becomes a healer type class.
besides it not like the Gun class can't have both a DPS Job and a Healer Job.

Dancer healer job would be cool![]()

Healer:
Divine: Uses holy powers and potections, allow for shield like abilities that absorb X ammount of damage for Y ammount of time with lower power healing spells as the downside.
Tank:
Berserker: Huge 2 handed swords, damage over defence. Harder to keep alive but is like having an extra dps in the team.

I would love to see them revisit bard, give Archer a proper "job" like Ranger and make Bard a healing class, have various instruments as their "weapons" (since they said there is no real room for a "support class type" I'd much rather see bard in a healing role than a dps role. But i guess one can dream right? I doubt they'd change the way things are now considering how long it's been in place.
Otherwise, Corsair would be a fun addition. I would put my vote towards Samurai as a Tanking class. a Chemist healer could be interesting as well, considering I've always wanted an "alchemist-type" battle class in an MMO.
Healer- Has to be Dancer, I believe they are already setting it up. I also like the idea of making the bard a true healer.
Tank- Viking- It would be something they haven't visited in a long time. Was a tank in other FF games.
I'd rather they made BRD a true support class: Negligible DPS, little survivability, but the ability to be a force multiplier that increases others' abilities by 30% or more to make up for it.
I know XI is a sore point for comparisons, but that's still the best example of a BRD in MMOs to me. Entirely focused on supporting others.

Can't say for the healer, but I suspect Samurai is going to be the tank.

Tank
1) Rune Knight/Mystic Knight: An arcane magic tank that manipulates aether and seals it into Sigils that are used to either protect themselves and others or to infuse elemental power into their swords and attacks. Uses fencing/dueling sword and parrying dagger combo. Comes from the Fencer class with the possibility of Red Mage as a dps job that comes from fencer.
2) Samurai: A master swordsman that wields a two handed katana and utilizes exotic Sword Art and their formidable inner strength (Ki) to defeat their enemies. Would come from a new class, Soldier maybe?
Healer
1) Chemist: A scientific genius and master of aetherial concoctions and infusions that is just as home in a laboratory as using their brews and inventions to heal their allies on the field of battle. Based off of Musketeer (the pistol/gun class). Think Eorzean combat medic.
2) Dancer: A paragon of grace and skill, the dancer is able to manipulate aether and call upon the spirits of nature to heal and embolden their allies through rhythmic movement and dance. Would come from Rogue.

Magitek Tank! Wearable magitek gadgets , use mainly damage soaking barriers, traps and bleeds. Put energy barriers in front of you to mitigate damage. Set up agroo traps behind enemies, if you lose hate and an enemy steps over the trap it blows up giving mob a debuff and regaining agro. Use multiple DoTs on enemies to keep hate. Have explosion abilities with very small knock-back to position enemies in front of your barriers. Main weapon could be ranged even. Make it more about managing the positioning of your tools and barriers and keeping up DoT rather than running around bashing stuff.
