Maybe because they've already said they're not doing it?

It was mentioned on the french forums that they have no plans to implement it, and that was also linked in a thread about this very same thing in the DoL forums. Since people saw "no plans" they keep asking, yet many like to ignore the fact that adding more storage for characters, regardless of the type, is costly for SE. It's part of why you have to pay more for retainers beyond two.

You're right, they have changed their minds on some things. But should they change their minds on something where many players still remain willfully ignorant to the costs and consequences?

Tackle information requires less information in total than general inventory and doesn't need to be loaded at each zone in, I see no reason why adding a 5-10 tackle box is not entirely possible except a bit space costly.
