Second of all, the problem with this thread is the community has the misguided assumption that they work load is being handled CONSECUTIVELY when in actuality it's being worked on CONCURRENTLY. What I mean by this is, the team hasn't been SOLELY working on patch 1.18. Yoshi-P has come out and flat said that he has the Devs broken up in teams. 1 Team is responsible for Dungeons and 1 team is responsible for the Ifrit Battle (Slated for 1.19) but they are working on them at the same time. So as teams free up after work is completed, they will either be allocated to other teams (I.E. the Ifrit Battle) team or formed into a new team (Working on AF gear). Everything that was on Yoshi's latest list is what they are CURRENTLY working on. This means that each item either has 1 team, or 1 team has multiple items.

Because they have been working on the list CONCURRENTLY we shouldn't be waiting 3+ months for 1.19 and 1.20.
hard to see how the rest of the teams can work when the foundations are ever changing and not settled in yet. They should put all staf working on that and work from there.

I had something happened at work really similar to this last week.
Problem arise, you get everyone who is not in a critical position to help solving the main problem, once that is done they can carry on with regular duties.

having people working on thins for later patches at this point is a bit presumptuous , thinking of how much weight this next patch holds.

Of course they need people who have a clue of the subject at hand so perhaps getting people from other departments would be a bad idea, so if patches and fixes are taking this long is because they are, in fact understaffed.

the game is ready to make a come back now, or throw in the towel imo.
