So for example I'm tanking for my FC mates and a piece of bard gear drops that no one needs and my lets say up and coming level 45 bard could use said item then I should not be allowed to even lot on it? Sounds pretty brilliant to me, or how about we keep things as is.

I see far too many things hit the floor as is, with your proposed change we'd see gear hitting the floor non-stop like it was Syrcus Tower on a Tues.
