I'd reiterate my first post in this thread, but it probably wouldn't matter since people do really seem to prefer regurgitating their empirical notions until they are blue in the face, regardless of what is happening in the actual game. Maybe the color blue is trending right now - who knows.

In a nutshell, again, it matters very little what a few people believe to be "the way the feature was intended to be played". Heck, it often doesn't even matter how SE expects us to consume new content. Do you think Brayflox Longstop HM was meant to be Mythflox Grindstop EZM when it came out? The community decides how it's done. The social construct determines it. It's a majority rule. Sorry.

I have no issue with you guys having a philosophical back and forth about what should be considered right, wrong, considerate, inconsiderate, within the rules or outside of them, but I tend to doubt the usefulness of the exercise when there are actual socially driven rules with a real impact being enacted in the game. From where I'm standing, the majority rule seems to overwhelmingly say that:

    1) If you pull early after a pull time has been called, your will face some community wrath
    2) If you reset mobs, you will face some community (and possibly GM) wrath
    3) If you try to play nice and try to work within a known strategy that tries to balance time, effort and reward for as many players as possible, things will generally go better for you

How you go about that is up to you as long as you realize that how you think the game should be played may have nothing to do with how people will really play it.

Hypothetically, let's say what I'm seeing on my server is not the norm. If there are any servers out there where #1 and/or #2 are the common practices, I would wager that those are some pretty pissed off servers, lol.
