True, 100 ms is not bad, it's not good either... At least for online gaming.
Here we're talking about 150+ ms for Europeans, which is bad. As you can see Chaos cluster is already recommended for European residents, we're just asking this one to be moved in Europe.
They're actually recommended for people who mainly play during EU prime time, not for EU residents. The problem is that they don't really make that clear during server selection, but they have mentioned that multiple times both on the forums and during live letters.
You know what else is weird? Oceanic residents are recommended NA or JP Datacentres and yet we have to pay our subs in Euros. Which has a significantly poorer exchange for us rate when compared with $US.
Having an opinion does not make you right or wrong, it simply means you have an opinion. Don't get irritated when people don't agree.
Incorrect. In the world selection screen, and on the "Group NA/EU" list, it simply said: NA, EU, NA Legacy or EU Legacy between brackets next to each server's name. Nowhere did it mention anything about primetimes or anything like that.
Also, I want to provide you all with a quote from the Beginner's Guide:
That's the same text (with a small and obvious change) that appeared upon selecting a server in-game, too.About Worlds
The World that your character will inhabit can be chosen during the character creation process. Once selected, your World cannot be changed. Worlds are divided into six different data centers based on the location of their servers. To ensure you encounter the fewest number of latency issues, it is recommended, but not required, that you select the group that is closer to where you will be playing. Legacy Worlds (servers existing since the original launch) are indicated in parenthesis.
You have videos on YouTube (with their upload dates) if you need proof of any of it.

In-game it never mentioned anything about primetime or not, on the forum and in live letters they have mentioned it though. People have asked about why the EU tagged servers with physically in Canada many times before, and more than once (before they split everything into multiple datacenters) the mods have said the tags were mainly to determine which server would have the most people online during specific prime times.
However, that point is moot considering they now state 'recommended for EU residents' when selecting the datacenter in-game. And in that case it would actually make more sense to at some point move those servers to a location in the EU.
Please, could a GM brings this request to Yoshida's team. We know that is was not possible on launch, but time has passed and game is doing fine now.
Thanks
