This should be the first priority imo.
The game is playable but combat is far from enjoyable.

especialy in pvp where delay is effectively double. 120ms ping + 100ms gamedelay and you are at 440ms, this means that when you react to someone casting spell it usualy go off anyway. If servers would be in germany i could have 12-20ms ping and thats big difference.
Well yes i havent even touched frontlines yet cause of the lag, its really not enjoyable.
Also getting tired of seeing abilities animations go off but nothing happening so you have to use it again and again till it actually registers it..

It still contradicted what was said in-game: "To ensure you encounter the fewest number of latency issues, it is recommended, but not required, that you select the group that is closer to where you will be playing.". That means that it was, in fact, recommended that EU residents selected the ones with the EU tag. It simply said the same it says now, but with a different wording. Otherwise it would have said something about play times, instead of talking about latency and the location where you would be playing.In-game it never mentioned anything about primetime or not, on the forum and in live letters they have mentioned it though. People have asked about why the EU tagged servers with physically in Canada many times before, and more than once (before they split everything into multiple datacenters) the mods have said the tags were mainly to determine which server would have the most people online during specific prime times.
However, that point is moot considering they now state 'recommended for EU residents' when selecting the datacenter in-game. And in that case it would actually make more sense to at some point move those servers to a location in the EU.
Whatever they said in the forums, live letters, twitter, reddit, or anywhere else was moot, because that's what it said in-game since day one, with no changes being done. Not to mention that most people don't visit the forums, nor watch the live letters, so that's another reason why what has been said in game and in the official guides from day one until now technically invalidates what anyone could have said here. The new wording simply confirms that what was written back then, and that still is, was not a mistake.
So, can we give a rest to this whole discussion about the EU servers not being put with EU residents (and those around us) in mind, please? They never where international servers, period. They've always been like the NA and Japan servers, it's as simple as that.
Front line... actually you can't even evade LB from BLM with latency here, I should make a vid of this... Even if on your screen your miles away, you're dead ^^'
Meh, I enjoyed the game when all the servers were in Japan, multicultural servers were way more fun than servers that are dead half the time.
even w/o latency issue you cant evade it at all if you are in or near center (assume it is LB1), lb2 you do however have a chance to evade it if you are not in the center (lb2 have longer cast but the area effect is bigger as well so if you are in center of Lb2, you are super dead)

@Shneibel : wow actually that's a feature ? Was really thinking being outside the aoe before it disappears will keep me alive. ^.^
I really hope that this question about EU data center will be in next live.
