Newp, you can't. Well, from Yoshi himself, they can't detect if you do, so "if" you do. Don't tell anyone as any reports of someone using them are investigated.
Which is an EXCELLENT use of SE's time. So they just investigate anyone who calls you out in a party if the person is butt hurt enough and puts in a report that you "parse"? No, I don't think they have the staffing for that or the desire to be seen by the rest of the MMO universe as "that game" that bans people for crunching numbers. Do we have any confirmed cases of someone being banned and the reason was "parsing" - as opposed to the reason being some other sort of actual player verbal abuse\harassment?
Yep. This is very true. Even as tank you wont get instant queues anymore most of the times.Aside from that, a lot of the things the OP says are true. Queue times for content HAS gone up. If you haven't noticed, it's because you aren't watching the clock. I am leveling a DPS class and the times are over half an hour. Pre hunts they were 15 minutesish, and thats just for dungeoning. Queueing up as a dps for high level content can stretch to an hour or more. Why? Hunts, everyone is doing the hunts. They give too much rewards and I don't know why SE hasn't corrected it. It's not even like it's just a couple people complaining - it's different people every day on these forums talking about hunts. Hunts and Atma are the top complaints, and yet the devs think that it's more appropriate to respond to a request for a freaking guest book.
You can. Written it is against Terms of Service but it´s tolerated because they can´t detect it if you dont put parser results in chat to use it for blaming and even if they could, SE would have to Ban 98% of the Playerbase. Parsers are used everywhere by almost everyone. Even tons of Casual Players are using them Reasons are different....See who´s the weak part of your party to replace(not tolerated part) Compare your dps with someone else on same job/ilvl too see how much you can improve and so on.
Well no wonder you are bored, Not because you think BRD can out DPS a melee and not even because you feel bad for a Melee who can easily out DPS you, but that you are complaining about them being "overly complicated" they are not complicated, they simply require you to think far more then a BRD. It's not complicated to read a attacks description and choose the side or back it will do the most damage on, when did simple directional instructions become overly complicated, maybe you are a little TO used to brd.
If it's tolerated then go ahead and admit you are using parsers, I'll be happy to file in a report and you tell us what happens after that. You can. They are not in a witch hunt looking for people who use parsers, but if you admit you use parsers it's game over.
It's your personal opinion, which frankly I couldn't care less, if you don't like the rules then don't say you use parsers and continue using them, but if you even indirectly hint you're using parsers don't come crying when you get your ass banned. Some of you folks really need to get over the idea of parsers. They are being used. In your party! Right now! That PF you joined? Ten to one someone in it is parsing. It's not the end of the world unless you are truly terribad and if you are, get better, don't whine that someone found out how bad you are.
Yoshi-P didn't put training dummies in the game because he genuinely thought we just liked hitting inanimate objects. He put them there with the expectation they would eventually (or currently) be used to number crunch.
If you are no longer having fun then the logical thing to do is stop playing, or at least take a brake. Some time spent away from the game may help.
Personally speaking I am really enjoying the game and it has been fun since the day I joined, but each to their own!![]()
i get your frustration OP. but im at a loss on what to do, if anything at all.
i get the feeling sometimes we are going down a path that i dont like, but then the next patch happens and it starts to look better.
if the hunts are tied to the next tier of gear in 2.4 etc, and there is no adjustment, then my time here will be shortened.
i hope its just the 'catch-up patch' thing and not the way things will be from now on.
You apparently care enough to keep responding about it. Do you dislike parsers because "breaking the rules" is awful? Or because you think people shouldn't be told when they are doing less damage THAN THE TANK?If it's tolerated then go ahead and admit you are using parsers, I'll be happy to file in a report and you tell us what happens after that.

PhD at missing the point, this is not about if I like them or not, the point is the rules are there whether you like it or not and I'm just informing that misinformed person that they DO ban people for admitting to use parsers. They are lenient in the sense that they don't go out hunting parser users, but their leniency ends when you admit you use them.
Don't like it? Start one of those silly "X or riot" threads and get SE to change their stance.
