Oh, anyway, realized the free trial, still confused about the mount stuff.

Mount is a reward for the recruitment system. You can refer a friend, the game will send them a message from you and a code for them to enter. If they register with that code they'll be established as your recruit. Once they reach the 90-day mark on subscription time you'll be rewarded with a draught chocobo that anyone in a party with you can ride. (You also both get a snazzy headpiece.)

I know that 2 million tried the game, but SE the new players won't be playing with 2 million people. I hate for you to misrepresent this and the new players que up the DF and see it's taking way to long for a game that is advertised as " 2 million people worldwide are playing".

One of my friends just downloaded the free trial, but can't find anywhere where to make the free trial account. The only options he finds is the fact he still needs to just purchase the game.

If they're going to keep having the Legacy servers closed all the time, I have no reason to show this to my friends. I'm not going to tell my friends "Hey, come play with me on Sargatanas! Oh, but you might have to wait a few days or weeks to make your character because the servers are constantly closed and only opened for brief stints, usually around 6am our time!"

So to hell with this free trial.

Does recruiting a friend get around character creation restrictions?

Why is the dog minion underlined? Hell, why are you counting by minion at all? You're assuming that everyone collects minions. Also, why did you blatantly ignore the 1,376,001 number listed by the airship minion (the one everyone gets when they get their airship pass)? And the 865,151 black chocobo chicks (60 day reward)? I don't think you know what you're talking about.
