What a bad excuse for stupid gamedesign...
Restrictions for new players is losing of new players and there are way better ways to kick RMTs...

SE should learn from Blizzard!

WoW has virtually the exact same restrictions...

Characters on Starter Edition game licenses have the following restrictions:

Can't play expansion-restricted content (new classes, continents, etc).
Can't exceed level 20, 10 gold, and 100 trade skill ranks.
Can't participate in Pet Battles.
Can't chat in channels other than say and party.
Can't whisper another character unless they add you to their friends list.
Can't create or join guilds, invite players into a party, or create calendar invitations.
Can't disable experience gains.
Can't trade, mail, or use the Auction House.
Can't use voice chat or Real ID.
Can't use value added services (character transfers, faction changes, etc).

You know, freeload users are (generally) a plague and mostly coming for trollin' us hard. All that restrictions welcome. If some of them are legitimate players who wanna try the game to maybe sub thereafter, they are welcome

Is this a temporary thing? also if you start a free trial can you cancel it and just pay a regular trial mid-way? I would hate for someone to start a free trial, realize they like the game and want to get past the level 20 but made force to wait an entire week.

I can understand why these restrictions are in place, but why so many? Out of all that, and including the marketing video for this, what exactly is the new adventurer on a free trial getting to excite them about this game?

Wow, this game has a lot of people, let's talk to them and find out what they think about the game! ... yeah, you get it.

I'm all for any way to help this game increase, but is giving people on a trial access to pretty much only the first couple of dungeons (if that?) and some fetch quests the way to go about it?

I've been trying to use the Free Trial all day with a friend of mine. (I already play, trying to get her into it,) but after "creating" an account with the launcher and waiting for the confirmation code to arrive... well, it never does.

"A confirmation code has been sent to *****@gmail.com.

Once you have received the e-mail, please enter the included confirmation code below.
* The confirmation code contains eight alphanumeric characters.
* The confirmation code included in the e-mail will expire one hour after delivery. Please use the code to activate your account within the allotted time."

It's been HOURS and nothing has arrived. After trying to create a free trial account of my own on another mail, I ended up having the same problem. Even tried this several times today but same problem. Reason I'm curious is because I've yet to even find a single complaint about this?

Whats with all those restrictions? seriously...

It seems as if they fear players who play 14 days will never come back when experiencing the full game, isnt 14 days restriction enough?
That way they will not get many new Adventurers, but well... its better than nothing, at least you can try out the game!

Someone answer... Is this for PC only? I have 3 friends with PS4 that have been on the edge of spending the 30 bucks to buy the game and play for a month but this would def get them to test it out...
