I'm not even sure I'm inclined to believe the claim here. You're sayin that after dealing roughly half of the monster's health, someone was STILL able to swoop in and steal aggro? Do you just have the most incompetent tank on the server or something? That'd be like me losing aggro on Leviathan's tail partway through the fight to the healers' Medica II spams or something. And before you say "provoked!" Elite Marks are immune to provoke, I have tested this personally.
Except a lot of time the large groups have lots of people scouting every zone at once because they can co-ordinate like that.Pretty ironic, don't you think?
Getting seals for doing nothing but wait in town while others spend hours scouting, just because you don't want to miss a single mark to get max. possible of seals asap? No wait, you're right. Damn selfish groups that kill the marks they were scouting for.
So what? Tough luck to them for not finding the mark first. Hell, not even tough luck. Sorry your 50 scouts are so totally incompetent they can't cover an A rank window before 2-8 people do so they need to reset-steal it and slander the people who did find it as 'selfish' and 'thieves' instead.
The problem with The Hunt is that it belongs to the organised Linkshell farmers and no one else is allowed to touch it unless they say so. If you don't obey Linkshell orders you are blacklisted and banned from The Hunt and likely other stuff too. This culture of forming Linkshells at the exclusion of all others is permeating an adapt or perish mentality in the game. Personally, I've stopped doing 2nd Coil (It should be in solo Duty Finder without the turn lock), I've tried Ramuh X once (why isn't it in solo Duty Finder?), I have never touched The Hunt (because of the above mentality and people who rage over 5 seals). Never got to kill Naul once for weekly count because greedy people have it on farm all day and week. What's left to do...crafting? wait for 2.4? Will just be more of the same. Linkshells and lockouts.

This. I see the same people farming hunts everyday. I managed to get into a decent party today and make a few seals but we just barely got there in time for most fights. It's like these people don't sleep. lol
I thought this too when people say they lose aggro to people trying to reset the mark. I mean, how do you lose aggro as a PLD in shield oath after your second or even third RoH combo? Unless you're hunting with an under-geared tank (less than i90), I'm not sure how you lose it. Or as a WAR once initial aggro is gotten.
Just curious.
Except they did find it, clearly. Otherwise this thread wouldn't exist. So what? Tough luck to them for not finding the mark first. Hell, not even tough luck. At the end of the day, OP, as does everyone on Excalibur, knew the group would be on their way.
That conscious decision to ignore the fact that those people would also be on their way and want Seals is what landed them in this situation. The end result eventually allowed more people to obtain Seals.

What's so hard to comprehend in that the amount of people necessary for the hunt is the 4-8-24 depending on the mark's rank and no one is forced to wait on anyone else. People's action are purely based on greed and selfishness.Except they did find it, clearly. Otherwise this thread wouldn't exist.

What's so hard to comprehend that even though they were designed for 4/8/24 people, that lots of other people want credit too?
If they were 4/8/24 people only, the system wouldn't be the way it was, the devs clearly said they made it this way so more people could get credit if they showed up.
You're right, they aren't forced to. But if you know people are coming, you should wait. It's a dick move not to.
